Well he just signed the PP funding into law so that headway might have to wait.

Protocol is the same for all visiting the Pope. The ladies respected the protocol of wearing black and a scarf on their head. How anyone, media included, could find fault or criticize the President and family is way beyond me! The narrator of the whole thing did a wonderful job of explaining it all. As is Obvious, the Pope is a Catholic, so is Melania.
Let’s focus on the people here. Jump on the other thread if anyone feels the need to throw American political labels around

Sheesh.

Or jump on the prayer thread for Melania and pray.

One would hope an individual’s audience with God’s Man on Earth is a deeply moving and personal carthatic experience, devoid, for half an hour of secular issues.
Thats the Pope’s first job, bring an individual to God.

From looking at the pictures of Trump, his smiling joyful face, and from his words, I think Trump was deeply moved being in the Pope’s presence. I have not seen him so visibly touched in encounters with others.

Agree. President Obama grayed considerably over just his first four years. It is a taxing job.

It seems that way to me, too. I pray that the outside reaction reflects something happening interiorly. And that it is able to take root and remain rather than withering quickly away.
 
I chuckled at comments on the Holy Father’s expression; for several years now, I’ve thought he has a dour face when, I don’t know, “at ease”? But when he starts talking his face lights up!
