🤷 This was a totally normal reaction; given that he could have accidentally hurt a disabled child, his ā€œangerā€ was actually rather mild and toned down.

… A visibly upset Pope Francis had some tough words for a rowdy crowd when their shoving caused him to fall on a disabled boy during an event in Mexico.

Following an encounter with young people in the city of Morelia, Pope Francis took time to greet those in the crowd, distributing rosaries as he went.

At one point, the jostling of the crowd trying to grab a rosary from the pontiff was so severe that the Pope lost his balance, falling forward on a boy in a wheelchair…
After watching the video and reading the article from Mexican sources, I would like to clarify what is lost in translation.

Pope Francis had some tough words to the youth that grabbed and yanked him, not to the crowd. The jostling crowd is not what caused him fall, he was grabbed and yanked down. In the footage right where EWTN placed it’s logo, you can see the bodyguards are trying to get the person to let go of Francis. Hence the strong words.

What’s with the loud, frantic music? You can’t really hear anything said.

Pope Francis is human, as we all are, he is also an old man with one lung. If he were my father I would not want him traveling so much, he was just in Cuba. I would excuse him if he had yanked the youth forward and bonked him on his head.

Very true! I’m sure he’ll treasure that story forever. 😃
I an thankful neither were hurt. The pope is not a young man and the boy was already in a wheelchair. And the Pope came to his defense by scolding the man. God Bless, Memaw

Yes it does.
It was headline news on today’s major UK ITN channel, with no comment about whether the Pope’s anger was justified, and it is the first and only report that has mentioned the Pope’s visit to Mexico.
This is not only a human reaction on the part of the Pope, but he is right since, due to the crowd’s shoving, he almost fell on a disabled boy.
That’s why I posted that comment. I had just seen it on the news, and It annoyed me when they showed what happened, referring only to the ā€œPope’s angerā€ without even mentioning he was just humanely reacting to a what could have resulted in a serious accident.
