Are you saying cars in Rome regularly run red lights? I’ve been there too, and never seen that happen.Well, here in the U.S. people are a lot more polite I guess. In the cities here we have cross walk lights so when it is green everyone crosses and the cars wait. Imagine that!![]()
We have pedestrian crossings (with and without lights) here in Australia too. For the ones without lights you as a pedestrian have no right of way until you actually step onto the crossing. In big cities cars often cannot see pedestrians before this happens due to heavy traffic around them. So if you stand by the side of the road expecting cars to magically stop for you then sometimes you will be waiting a while
