Because the city is home to the Serbian Orthodox Church which is holding an Ecumenical Assembly of Christian Churches in honor of the signing, and apparently…the Pope’s not invited.Why would his Holiness go to Nis to celebrate an edict that took place in Milan?

Because the city is home to the Serbian Orthodox Church which is holding an Ecumenical Assembly of Christian Churches in honor of the signing, and apparently…the Pope’s not invited.
If I was the Pope, I would be in Milan commemorating the anniversary where the event actually took place.

I mean I agree with you, I shared the link as I said in a previous post more to highlight the sad divisions in the church and outright animosity, its very disheartening to me.If I was the Pope, I would be in Milan commemorating the anniversary where the event actually took place.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with religion, and has EVERYTHING to do with Serb Nationalism.
To the Serbs, no other ethnic group in their area of the world has any rights, they have no right to exist, and the Serbs should totally dominate everyone (as they tried to do in Bosnia).
Over the centuries, the Serbs have murdered hundreds of thousands of people, in the name of their “religion”.
It’s kind of like the Concentration Camp mentioned in the article. They claim 700,000 Serbs were killed there. Wrong, approximately 700,000 Yugoslavs (including Serbs, Croatians, Bosnians, and others from the former Yugoslavia) were killed in those camps. There was no way to separate out Serbs from Croats in those days, so now the Serbs claim everyone.
I personally would see this as a positive thing, if the Pope has not been invited.
