I saw this on comcast news today and I almost exploded. The pope only wants more power to control people’s beliefs. That is his job, after all. Ratting out on everyone and saying that they don’t have the salvation that Catholics do. He is one sick person to think that some Protestants will go to hell. Absoutly sick!

I prefer to think for myself rather than let other’s tell me what to believe.
You don’t think some Protestants will go to Hell? You don’t think some Catholics will go to Hell? Anyone can go to Hell.

Before you rant and make baseless claims, why don’t you see what the Holy Father actually said?

Protestantism is intrinsically angry…that’s why they keep fragmenting the Body of Christ.
And Jesus went up to the money changers and sellers of sacrifices and patted them on the back and said, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!” I don’t think so. He was angry on many occasions. At Peter: “Get thee behind me…”, at the Scribes and Pharisees, etc. Why not defend His Word? Oh, and did I mention, I’m not a Protestant.

That’s what I here day in and day out from protestants. “Catholics arent really christians” “Catholic’s are not saved” " Catholics dont have a personal relationship with christ" etc… As much as they dont see it but Protestants core is not Jesus, it’s protest. If it were Jesus then Protestants would seize to exist, because we would all be Catholic.

If someone killed 1000 men, he does not deserve eternal torture. If you think that, then you are sick. And God being the ultimate love and all, it won’t be a problem forgiving. And since Christians wouldn’t want to go to the devil, it would be impossible for them to go to hell. It’s real, but no humans are there. Is this not logical?

I should also mention that I’m not Protestant either. And does Protestants ratting on you for your beliefs give you the right to do the same to them?

An eye for an eye will just end up in making the whole world blind.- Gandhi;)

“In the beginning Mass was celebrated only once a week, then three or four times, and finally, in the fifth or sixth century, every day.” (Legislation on the Sacraments in the New Code of Canon Law, 87)

Unchanging huh? Do you need further examples?🤷
Uh-what does that have to do with faith and Morals?

The Pope didnt say that Protestants couldnt have salvation nor did he say Protestant are going to hell. Are we reading the same statement???

Label me “sick” then. 😛

Just because God can forgive, doesn’t mean He will. We must be truly sorry for our sins. If one doesn’t repent, how can one be forgiven?

I’m not sure if you know of orthodox Christian belief. Either that, or you just outright reject it.

Have you read St Augustine’s Confessions? He talks about his mom (St Monica) going to Mass daily. Considering St Augustine lived in the 300s. I would say it was sooner than the fifth or sixth century.

The Bible…ya know, the one that says God is the ultimate love and truth, etc.?/QUOTE

Did you know that the bible was compiled and declared inspired by the Catholic church.

Did you know that those books you read within the bible are catholic from catholic authors.

Your using a catholic book to pass judgement against catholics, because we follow.

Read Blacktiger’s profile. This may be a clue to what his thinking is. Also, I do not think that he has been around long enough to develop a great deal of wisdom. He sounds angry for some reason.🤷

Let’s hear the Holy Scripture on the matter then dear blacktiger.

Tell me how humans will not be in the Hell you say is real.

Tell me about Hell so I can understand it better please.

But- before you do-

do you deny the Trinity?

I ask since most I know happen to deny both.🤷

Too many changes and you lose your identity, your faith, and morals.

“I want the truth!” “You can’t handle the truth!” (my apologies to Tom and Jack)

There are alot of truths out there but only one can be the truth.
God is the truth the way and the life.
Last time I checked all demonations of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam believed in God. In fact, almost all religions have God in them. So yes, respect their beliefs.

So now it comes down to how much of there beliefs contain God or the full Truth.
