WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A stash of pornography was found in the hideout of Osama bin Laden by the U.S. commandos who killed him, current and former U.S. officials said on Friday.

U.S. intelligence analysts have devoted considerable time to poring over the terrorists’ favored Web sites, searching for hidden militant messages. “We have terabytes of this stuff,” said one Department of Defense al-Qaeda analyst, speaking on the condition of anonymity. “It isn’t possible that they are encrypting messages in all of this stuff. Some of these guys are just perverts.”

It isn’t exactly out of character and some of my friends who have fought the Taliban told me this is the sort of thing they would expect. I know it is probably tempting for us to make up stories about our enemies being inbred hillbillies who have a penchant for sex with goats and donkeys, but in this case it seems like there is increasing evidence to back up the insults.

The problem is the source for this information is proven to be unreliable in its haste to profit off the killing of OBL.

After two days of administration officials offering up conflicting details and accounts of the intense U.S. assault-team raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound and his subsequent killing, the White House has completely shut down press attempts to get a full accounting of what transpired.

The new, tight-lipped strategy came at the same time the White House announced that the President would not release photos of Osama bin Laden’s slain body out of concern that the photos could incite violence and be used propaganda tools.
