Possible Eucharistic miracle in Utah

In our adoration chapel we had a book on Eucharistic Miracles describing
hundreds of miracles from all around the world similar to what is happening
in Utah. It could very well be true.
We shall see. 👍

A Miracle is an act of GOD, not in the eye of the beholder. Our ‘eye’ has nothing to do with it. As for the 3 days, it just depends on how soon the Host dissolves, (If it dissolves, Our Lord is no longer present), and believe me I am willing to bet it didn’t set there “unnoticed” during that time. We all have to wait till it is confirmed. We should not jump ahead of the Church. God Bless, Memaw]
I do not disagree, but I was thinking Medgorje (sp).

I am so excited and happy about this, but am also waiting for confirmation of a miracle. I hope it’s true.

As far as dissolving the host in water to be poured down the special drain – it doesn’t appear to have dissolved in the water when by all accounts it should have. This very well could be a Eucharistic miracle as the host is not “reacting” in the way one would expect.

Either way, I truly believe it serves to reinforce our faith in the true presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Only serves to strengthen and not lessen our faith!

Peace.

I look forward to seeing the results of their investigation.

I snapped a still of the video and cropped it. Here’s the host…

I thought the following was interesting in the comments section of the article, a woman sharing a letter from a priest in that diocese;
May I share a response I received from one of our GOOD AND HOLY priests in this (SLC) diocese?
**"**Having seen the same photographs as everyone else, and considering how the Host came to be in the state it is now (received, not consumed, set in a dish to dissolve) it seems that the spots are mold and bacteria. This is a most likely explanation.
Furthermore, the nature of a Eucharistic miracle is something that should cause a great deal of distress: The Lord has chosen to manifest Himself fleshly, not sacramentally. This usually happens when some vice, some weakness needs to be broken, often in the minister himself. I don’t want to make an encyclopedic listing of Eucharistic miracles, but the themes of faithlessness (contrary to the virtue of religion) or resulting carelessness (again, contrary to the virtue of religion) come up over and over again. The miracle of Lanciano, for example, is connected to the priest’s doubts; Bolsena, also doubts; Sienese miracle of the levitating Host with the priest who stuck it in the pages of his breviary, carelessness; the other Sienese miracle of the Hosts that do not deteriorate, robbery; Santarem, adultery & witchcraft. Putting it bluntly, these Eucharistic miracles, wonderful as they are, are poignant examples of the Lord’s response to sacrilege.
Why should it cause distress? The mercy of God, which one could define as God holding back the wrath that is due to sin in His infinite patience, is transferred not to reconciliation but manifestation. Usually, the mercy of God is something that is manifested in the judgment of a soul—and may we all arrive to heaven praising the limitless mercy of God!—but when it is manifested otherwise, it is an extreme corrective. When you see the mercy of God manifested on earth, it’s time to fast and do greater penances than ever before. The Most Blessed Sacrament should cause us immense awe, always. So much more when the sacramental veil is lifted and the mystery is exposed.
Do not desire miracles; have stronger faith. The Lord has already given us so much. Pray for the virtue of Fear of the Lord.
Furthermore, I am very concerned how the enemy will use this occurrence from Kearns to his best advantage. Undoubtedly, he will, and likely through some kind of deception; we will see. I am also very concerned that evil instruments may use this opportunity to emphasize the Lord’s Eucharistic presence being more completely fulfilled in the context of the celebration of the Eucharist, among the people, rather than in the physical reality of the Most Blessed Sacrament, as is found in Protestant theology. The visible Church here on earth is not greater than the Blessed Sacrament! Not even close! The Bride of Christ is not susceptible to the will of the mob and the popular desire for signs, because the Church in her fullness is a reality rooted in heaven.
Dear friends, stay strong! There is much nonsense in the Church today parading as truth, but do not let yourselves be deceived. Profess the orthodox faith and do penance! It reminds me so much of the beginning of the 4th chapter of 2nd Timothy:
God bless

There are many here in Utah that do not believe in the Real Presence. Maybe that is why it could happen here.

I wonder how long it will take to get the results of the investigation?

I was wondering the same thing. It could take weeks or months.

Eucharist is already a miracle and genuine Blood and Body of Christ. Why the double miracle?

Any news yet? It shouldn’t take this long to demonstrate that the pigmentation has a microbial origin.

For me the Eucharist is almost always a miracle. Just take today: I go in grumpy and out of sorts, mad with this and that, and I come out (of mass) a different person: happy, peaceful, where grumpy has changed into charity. Truly a miracle.:):amen:

Has anyone seen that movie ‘you’ve got mail’ when tom hanks is at the checkout with the cashier lady ‘rose’ who wouldn’t give meg ryan a break by using her credit card in the cash line? how about the effect of tom hanks on the cashier rose? she changed, and then when tom hanks was gone, she wasn’t so compassionate…
