Many years ago, actually almost 30, my beloved wife and I became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since then we have been blessed with three children and now three grandchildren, and another on the way.

All members of the family to whom I am father and patriarch are faithful active LDS except I have been living a secret lie for many years. ~ God has been calling me into his Holy Catholic Church and I am unable to sacrifice the happiness and joy of my wife and children’s faith in order to join the spiritual fellowship of the RCC! I know that my reception into the RCC would bring shock, dismay, disharmony and conflict to my family; and to all our friends, brothers and sisters in the church.

Such has been the depth of my deceit! Maybe I will never be able to enjoy full communion with the church.

The pain of my longing and isolation is I believe a consequence of my sin and is only eased through the assurance that God is Love and that in His own time he will enable me to respond to His call and receive redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ and fellowship in the One True Holy and Catholic Church.

I ask for your prayers that I might find courage to confess and repent in order to follow God’s will soon, and that in doing so all those whom I love will be able to find/receive the charity to accept it.

We will pray for each other brother, for I am a sinner too!

Thus, he is calling upon you to deny yourself, take up your cross and follow. To be a slave of Christ is the hard way. Remember that He came not for unity, but division. You must love God above everything and everyone on earth:

Luke 12:50-54 “Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

Call upon Him, and He will strengthen you, as He has already taught you to recognize and seek the truth.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do everything through him who gives me strength”.
Most merciful and loving God, You conceived of Asa Ben Judah from all eternity as a crucial part of Your Divine plan. Grant him great strength and wisdom as he moves ever closer to Your Heavenly truth, that he may be a light unto his loved ones and lead many souls to You. Graciously send Your Holy Spirit to teach, guide and fortify him in his struggle, that his patient and loving example will call his loved ones as You have lovingly called him. Lord, You know his heart. Mercifully hear Your Blessed Son’s intercession on behalf of Asa Ben Judah, that he may, with great faith and love, embrace the fullness of truth. Reveal Your Divine truth to him and those he loves, for the completion of all righteousness. I ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Jim,

bless you for your prayer, and all who have so far expressed their intentiions to plead for me.

I seek courage to move forward in God’s Holy Plan for me…

We are all sinners.

“Christ shield me this day: Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every person who thinks of me, Christ in the eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me” ~ (from “The Breastplate of St. Patrick”).

My brother! RUN, do not walk, to The Coming Home Network. www.chn.org (or is it .com?) They are all converts themselves and all have dealt with the difficulty of families who are appalled at the idea that anyone would be attracted to the Catholic Church.

God love ya!

Absolutely, and Amen! Here is the link to their home page: chnetwork.org/

The Lord is moving among the Mormons, leading them to all truth. I can attest to this from personal experience. Christ’s peace to all.

I will offer my Rosary today for your intentions and also for your family. I know how hard it is, as some of my family is LDS. Please keep us updated.
