A couple of weeks ago, Fr. Benedict Groeschel had a show on fallen away family members. He said do not become discouraged and to keep praying. Be gentle. Listen carefully to the fallen away family members. He said to ask Blessed Mother Teresa to intercede for fallen away family members. He said once Blessed Mother Teresa is after you, you better watch out! 🙂 Fr. Groeschel said he is keeping Blessed Mother Teresa very busy with many projects. Blessed Mother Teresa please intercede for our fallen away family members! Amen!

Blessed Mother Teresa, please keep all lapsed Catholics in prayer as well as members of my own family that have fallen away…Amen.

O God, Who observed the devout tears and pleading of St. Monica and granted to her prayers the conversion of her husband and the penitential return of her son, Augustine, grant us the grace to implore Thee also with earnest zeal, so that we may obtain, as she did, the salvation of our own soul and the souls of those belonging to us. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen

For all our families that have fallen away from the Church, we ask your interession.

👍 Onward we pray…

I visited with a group from our Church the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse
There I gave a donation to light a perpetual burning candle for all fallen away family members of CAF and my own. It was to burn for 8 days.
They now have the largest in the nation of votive candle chapel.

Here is the devotional prayer;

Most Glorious Virgin, you were chosen
by the eternal Counsel to be the Mother
of the Eternal Word made flesh. You are
the treasurer of divine graces and the advocate
of sinners. I who am your most unworthy
servant have recourse to thee. Graciously be
my guide and couselor in this valley of tears.
Obtian for me through the Precious Blood
of your divine Son, the forgiveness of my
sins, the salvation of my soul, and the means
necessary to obtain it. In like manner obtain for
the Holy Church victory over Her enemies and
the spread of Jesus’ kingdom over the whole earth.

👍 Beautiful.

If you ever have a chance to visit do so, I want to go back and it will be officially completed next summer sometime.
Archbishop Burke has been presiding over it, the votive chapel is one of the first construction completed and is a very Holy place I can’t give words the justice to how large it is.I want to make it a yearly pilgrimage. One couple have a candle perpetually burning till their son returns from Iraque.

Love in Christ D.

I continue to ask for prayers for my two fallen away sisters, Wilma and Debbie. Debbie had her baby, 1 1/2 yr old, baptized in her church this past weekend. It was interesting and very fast. Wilma told me that the baby is only presented to God and later in life, he will have to be Baptized. I knew this was her faith for when she left the Catholic Church, he went and got re-Baptized. She said the one my parents had done when she was a baby did not count. Anyway, I had to ask if Debbie believed this for her church bulletin said Baptism. Thank God she does not share this belief with my other sister and said her child was baptized. She had it done within a service and listening to this pastor was heart breaking. He referred to our Church as “that church” in reference to bad theology. He also said things that I just could not believe. He talked about being saved and that once you are saved nothing you do in this life will cause you to lose Heaven. He emphasized the “nothing you do.” No wonder Wilma doesn’t feel it necessary to go to church on Sundays. There was more said that I and my family that were Catholic could not believe.

Debbie has some weird beliefs. She saw my dd watching a cartoon called Dragon Tales. She told me that the devil will come out of that program and get into my dd. She won’t allow her boys to watch it. She believes that magic, any magic, is an instrument of the devil. She told that to my 16 yr. old nephew after he did a card trick. She believes this, but doesn’t believe in the evil of birth control.

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant us that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for us, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear our plea for all of our beloved family members and friends who have strayed from The Holy Catholic Church.

and grant us the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

You are all welcome to my prayers when i pray for those in my own family who have drifted away.

I prayed for all of your family and friends at Mass today. I will continue to keep on praying!

Sincerely,

Maria1212

Praying to St. Monica for intercession for all and thanking her for listening to our heartaches and fears and bringing them to the Lord
in all things. Lord hear our prayers. Amen.
D.

Prayed for everyone at Mass today. Another of my kids has tentatively begun going to Mass again. We’ll see. St. Monica, pray for us.

That is wonderful, Katy!

I just keep praying, “Jesus, I trust in You.”
