Po - continuing in prayer for you
Prayers & blessings
Deacon Ed B

Again, as each day is truly a blessing, I am humbled that each of you take time to pray! It was not brought out since my daughter’s original post, but I did not go in-patient, as was planned. My oncologist came up with an additional mix of medications to ensure that I don’t have such a reaction again. I spent only an overnight in the local hospital, since the Chemo had to continue as planned.

My next course of chemo will be this Thursday-Saturday. I know that more changes will occur after it, but the alternative is, again, not at all appetizing. The treatment center is affiliated with and adjacent to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. “Hutch” does only research, while I am on the treatment side. Even so, my progress, because of your prayers(!) will likely be used as part of their ongoing research.

I have learned a a bit about cancer in general. What I find is that man knows about .001% of that which is to be known about it. It tends to run in families, but they can’t say why; it is associated with certain occupations, but again they can’t say why. It is unknown what starts the mutant cell-cloning process, but toxic chemicals (chemo) either kill the cells or stop their rapid cloning. It is almost as if the cancer has its own DNA. It is an insidious disease, often hiding behind the minor symptoms of easily treated illnesses. The balancing act in treatment is killing the cancer without killing the patient.

However, my life remains in the Lord’s hands and He will repay each of you who are praying. You are an amazing bunch, who bring me to tears with your prayers. God bless you all!

Praying hard for you!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

po18guy–I sent your dd some info (in a pm) on an herbal supp that is supposed to really help boost one’s immune system when one is undergoing chemo. I take it daily, and I’m not going through that, but it’s amazing stuff. Did she tell you about it?

I’m praying for you every day–May God heal you completely so very soon.
I’ll have her come back on and retrieve it. Thank you and may the Lord bless you.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Brothers and sisters, they say that middle age brings an increasing awareness of one’s mortality. The merciful Lord is making this abundantly clear to me, which is a grace. We have all heard the one about what we would do if we knew the date of our appointment with eternity. I may have one month, one year or decades left. The Lord is so incredibly patient with me, that He is opening my heart to continuous conversion. At this point of conversion, and at my rate of progress, I may exceed Methuselah in age!

All of you remain in my prayers and the Lord credits your prayers to righteousness.

Christ’s peace.

The DNA that you drink in the altar of the Lord with the Eucharist is stronger and more powerful than any illness, and it was given to us a a true gift of HEALING and SALVATION. So the Beautiful blood of Jesus runs through your whole body at all times and it never fades, because the Lord always IS. So you are full of the healing power of the Lord Jesus, and Jesus Himself told you, that you could do greater things than He did. Imagine that ! Such an amount of charity could only come from Love Himself! Receive all that charity with trust and confidence, and fill yourself with a blind faith that moves mountains, that fills the Lord’s Sacred Heart with joy, that His child immitates Him in manifesting miracles for the salvation of others.
I tell you this with a great amount of respect.
For I saw years ago my own father battle this disease, and he bravely overcame it, until the day he mistakenly started drinking again, and that was not wise. I also saw a good friend survive one of the worst types of this disease, and she taught me a great lesson. I would cry by her side as I would brush her hair and it will all fall in my hands. She would everyday tell me, “The Lord has healed me and I will testify about it”. It would break my heart, as I felt sorry for her. Well, I was a fool for not trusting in her inmense faith, for that was three years ago and today she is as healthy as one could be. I was blind enough to only look at the outside of her body going through the process, and not realising that healing starts within. For the Glory of the Lord and because of her blind faith , she is fine. The body goes through a process, but the Lord works even harder and with all His Power!
God loves you and we will continue to pray.
This one’s a keeper! Thank you, Galilea. The miracle of the Lord’s power is seen in the fact that some consider me, a wretched sinner, an inspiration! I not only feel unworthy, I know that I am unworthy. But, as we say before accepting that Divine DNA into our bodies: “Lord, I am not worthy to receive You, but only say the word and I shall be healed.”

I shall focus on this thought as I receive Him. Amen! Alleluia!

I am still praying for you. I hope you are doing well today. I only wish that I could be as accepting illness as you are. I’m afraid that has caused a bit of envy in myself (which I am ashamed to say). However, I hold you up as an example to aspire to. God bless you and keep you safe always! Amen, Alleluia!

Much love,

You bring tears to my eyes…I think that you are an inspiration to every one of us here, and your words are so true. Today’s reading…Jesus tells His followers that no one will know when the Son of Man is coming…so be ready! I pray for your healing…God bless.

Agreed. He amazes me with his faith.

Lord in Heaven, look with immense compassion upon each soul who is praying for me and credit it to them as righteousness. Through their kindness, may they all be storing up treasure in Heaven - eternal treasure. Reward them in this life, O Saving Lord, for their goodness and sacrifice in taking irreplaceable time on behalf of this wretched sinner. I thank you and I praise Your Holy Name that my affliction has brought about so many conversations with you! Father, do with me what You will, as my life is yours, only bless those who converse with You in prayer on my behalf. Grant this, Father of love, through our Mighty Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Well, brothers and sisters, I just returned home from the start of my second set of chemo treatments. Four poisons today. No nausea, chills, loss of consciousness or arrhythmia so far. Amen! Doctor remarked, as he examined me, that he cannot feel my lymph nodes any more. They were swollen, from cancer cells taking them over, to the point of protruding from the sides of my neck and had been so painful that I was icing them to deaden the pain. Now, after your prayers, there is neither swelling nor pain. I still have my hair (well, that which I still had 😃 ). Doctor looked at me and twice said “You’re a tough one.” I credited it to the massive prayers on your part.

May the Lord bless each of you with eternal wealth in His Kingdom. Amen!

p.s. a young woman with whom I work didn’t know what to do for me, since she has no religion. I told her to go ahead and pray for me. She remarked that she didn’t even know what God was. I assured her, even though she may not believe in Him, he will hear every word she says in prayer - to ask Him, and he will reveal His goodness to her. Last email was that she is going to ask her nieces how to pray. Praise the Lord God of Israel! Only He can turn this “curse” of cancer into such a great blessing!

Happy to hear things are going well this time, we’ll keep up the prayers (and for your family and caretakers as well.) God does work in mysterious ways, His wonders to behold!!

Amen to that, po18guy–thank you for your beautiful testimony of your faith. You are a blessing to us all. Who would ever imagine a blessing such as this, in such a situation? But, it is by the grace of God, that He has caused you to look out of yourself, and how your situation can help others. If that is not inspiring and totally awesome, I don’t know what is!

Praise be to God!

Continuing to pray for you po! I am always amazed at your take on everything and your continued faith. You continue to inspire many of us. May the Lord continue to be with you and your family and that you may continue to heal. God Bless You!

po18:

Wow! That is awesome that someone who has no knowledge of God is now praying and inviting relatives to pray. God DOES work in mysterious ways. I am happy to hear that the chemo wasn’t as bad a last time. God really is taking care of you!

Many blessings to you. Have you read my PM? Hope you’re not mad at me…😦

Much love,
Judi

Blessed is the Lord who might take our anguish as an opportunity to work in the story of our lives!

Thank you Lord for strengthening Po in the richness of his faith, and for granting him so wonderful a grace as to reach out and draw us near to you by his own suffering. Thank you, Lord, for allowing his affliction to mimic that of your own, and for granting him those special graces that draw him near to Your inexhaustible love.

Truly, You Lord are able to speak to us through suffering, most especially through Your suffering for us on the Cross. Where you are, Lord, wrongs are righted; anguish is made in to contemplative peace; hate is turned to love; and confusion is turned to wisdom.

I pray that all of us here continue to grow in strength and in the faith which was once and for all handed down to the saints. Grant us all, Lord, those special gifts.

Please, Lord, continue Your work with Po’s co-worker! Let Po’s faith stand as a testament to Your love in mankind, and continue to pour out your mercies upon her so that she might come to You.

Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end! Amen!

This reminds me, of how the Lord used the poverty of Mary and Joseph, as a mantle, to hide our God King! Our Lord is Awesome in His misteries, He takes our miseries and creates true miracles with them.

Lord Father I praise You in all of your greatness, and with trust in your infalible love, I ask You, in the Holy name of Jesus, to bless Po and his family.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

(PS. just a suggestion, maybe it would be good if you start journaling this spiritual experience God is leading you through. You never know who could it help in the future! For the Glory of Christ and maybe the conversion of many others. It is how many saints have helped us.)

po18guy, I just saw this today. I am praying for you. God bless you.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
