Christ’s peace, everyone! Per my appointment yesterday, my blood counts have returned to normal. I can begin discontinuing the oral medications and will be completely off of them as of January 23rd. My scan has been moved to the first week of February, so that all cellular inflammation has subsided and a clearer view can be had.
Doctor was amazed at how well I went through the most aggressive part of the chemo. He congratulated me, telling me that the hard part was behind me now. If the treatment had been ineffective, I would likely have been gone by November, he said. I am trying hard not to be arrogant or presumptuous, but it appears that I am cancer free. We will know after the scan next month.

My job now is to allow my body to rebuild itself so that normal functioning is restored. I must ease into an exercise program to regain the strength and flexibility that I lost through the times of inactivity.

Why mention all of this? None of this was my doing. I credit it to the Lord. However, He had reminders throughout each day! He heard all of your prayers, from the first to the last, from the most brief to the most lengthy. He heard each Rosary and mass intention. He heard the Lord’s prayers and every Hail, Mary. Every word he focused on, reading every heart.

Your constant petitions were like those of the widow pleading for justice before the judge. However, in this case, it was the JUST Judge Who heard them all and revealed His mercy and compassion. He blessed me with the strength to endure. He blessed me with that for which I did not ask: healing.

May God bless each and every one of you - now and forever. Amen! Alleluia!
Praise the Lord!! Thank you Mother Mary! Wonderful news Jim!

Prayers for your continued healing…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jim,

I haven’t been on in a while, but I think about you often and pray for your continued recovery. I’m so glad to hear the great news and hope you are getting stronger everyday!

May God continue to bless you and your family!

Dana

Thank you and may God bless each of you! I still have a ways to go, but the Lord is teaching me (again) the lesson of patience, and of being quiet and listening. I may even return to work in about a month, if things keep progressing as they are.

Apparently, life was becoming a little too boring for us. DW Elsa collapsed Thursday evening and was taken to the hospital. She had a virus, but remains there under observation as they suspected some type of cardiac event. She just called and will be released today, but I still don’t know the results of the tests.

Bless mom4truth (Judi), as she began a prayer thread for Elsa back during my chemo.

I posted to it asking for a prayer or two. As always, may the Lord bless each of you for the inspiration that you are through faithfulness to prayer.

May Christ’s peace be always with you.

Jim

Though I don’t post often, I do check in from time to time to see how you are going. You remain in my prayers. May the Lord continue to bless you with his healing love. May His divine love and power flow to every part of your body, may He remove all sick cells and give you a strong and robust health.
