Jim,
Special prayers for you as you do the PET scan.

Praying for your healing and clean bill of health

Also praying for your family as they walk this recovery with you.

Thank you and may God bless all of you! It seems that the PET scan was but one of a veritable battery of scans. There were also several CT scans. The day passed fairly quickly and we actually made it on time to pick up Dani at school. Next stop is the appointment with my oncologist on Monday the 9th. He will advise me of what all of this looks like. I am in the Lord’s hands, and the best are out there praying for me. Amen!

Jim,

Even though I haven’t posted in a while, you are and will continue to be in my daily prayers.

God Bless,
Gary

Still praying for you Jim, especially praying that God grant you courage and strength to accept this suffering.

Still praying for you, Jim. I admire your faith and perseverance!

Christ’s peace my brothers and sisters. Thank you and may the Lord bless you for your prayers. With one exception, the scans showed my body to be free of suspected cancer activity. That exception is a “hot spot” on the right side of my neck. All that is known is that it is likely a lymph node and that it was using the radioactive glucose that I was injected with. The radiologists cannot say what the cause of it is, so they forwarded the report to my oncologist for him to examine. He told me that it was likely a swollen lymph node, about 5-6 mm in diameter. It could either be a return of the cancer or as simple as an infection. It is too small to biopsy, as they probably could not find it, or distinguish between it and other similar sized nodes. I have another scan scheduled in March. According to Doctor, the node will then be either larger (not good), or back to normal (good).

This entire odyssey has lent new meaning to the three Aves that I say at the beginning of each Rosary for an increase in faith, hope and love! Until then, I pray for strength, and for those in need of prayer. Amen.

Praying…For you and your dad

Prayer to Saint Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.

Yes, you have much faith. I pray for you.
God Bless You.

I will remember the three Aves at the beginning of the rosary.
thank you.
