Praying! God Bless! Please pray for my nephew, who is undergoing a 7 organ transplant as I type this. He was born with an illness that did not allow his digestive system to work properly. He now has to have his stomach, small and large intestines, liver, both kidneys, and pancreas transplanted. He is 13 years old. My friends and family have been praying for him all day - they got word of an organ donor early this morning.
Thank you in advance.
Herbie slept through the night last night (giving me, who was sitting up with him the opportunity to watch Pope Benedict’s first pontifical Mass.) Anyway, when he woke up this morning, he had a second chance at passing a test to get him into a rehabilitation alternative to a long-term nursing home. Once at the rehabilitation center, the physician in charge said, “He’s not nearly as bad off as I was led to believe.” His prognosis so far is excellent, and we may get him back at home with us in the next 2 weeks! Thanks for your prayers (and intercession of John Paul the Great).please pray for Herbie: age 78, chronic lung disorder, caught pneumonia, taken to hospital Monday – was on ventilator for four days – has been breathing on his own for two days now, but is showing severe signs of dementia – even attacked a nurse who was trying to keep him from ripping out his IV. He fades in an out – recognizes those with him and carries on intelligent conversation, then suddenly fades and carries on – thinks he’s in a boat, or on a bus with presidential candidates – or or or… folks at the hospital are stumped. . . he’s had memory lapses in the past, but not like this… need to know where to go from here.
Thanks Marie, and everyone.Praying! God Bless!
Glad to hear he is doing so well. We continue to pray. Thanks Marie, and everyone.
He opened his eyes today and moved a bit. The doctors are keeping him sedated on purpose to let his body rest for a couple of days. I really appreciate all the prayers!
