A Prayer for Those Who Live Alone

I live alone, dear Lord.
Stay by my side,
In all my daily needs be Thou my guide.
Grant me good health,
For that indeed, I pray,
To carry on my work from day to day.
Keep pure my heart, my thought, my every deed,
Let me be kind and unselfish in my neighbor’s need.
Spare me from fire, from flood, malicious tongues,
from thieves, from fear, and evil ones.
If sickness or an accident befall,
Then humbly, Lord I pray,
Hear Thou my call.
And when I’m feeling low, or in despair,
Lift up my heart!
And help me in my prayer.
I live alone, dear Lord,
Yet have no fear,
Because I feel Your presence ever near.
Amen.
 


Oh Mother Mary, be with those who need your consolation! In their suffering, they are blessed with kissing the Face of Christ!
 
Please, pray for me that I may overcome my vices and be given the graces to foster the virtues I need.

I am keeping all in my prayers, I am simply not posting as much, but I am still praying daily. (dear Maggie, God love you and your dh, I will say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for him and the Holy Rosary for your entire family.)
Anna’s Mom, please, talk to people in person too, tell co-workers, friends, family, your Pastor, people at Church, etc…you need someone to talk to in person. There are so many people out there that would love to spend some time with you and your baby and would want you to be with them at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Don’t isolate yourself.
Keeping all in prayer. God bless you all. (As Fr. Groshel says-“Never give up!”

I am still praying for everyone in this thread.

I do have a prayer of thanksgiving to offer: my mom called me last night, and did not rip into me about converting. She didn’t say anything about it, but I don’t think she’s mad. 😃

I do need some prayers regardng a certain sin I struggle with, for those who can spare them; I thank you greatly.
 
I am praying for you Mylo. I hope you have the strength to overcome temptations. I am so heartbroken lately. Please pray that the Lord allows my boyfriend and me to get married. Only the Lord can give us the strength. Just as He can give you the strength to overcome any obstacle.

Please Lord, help us. I am a sinner, but I am trying to follow your commandments. Please have mercy. I’ve always felt bad for the sins I knew I commited. Now I am trying to follow your commands. Please give me permission to marry. Thank you for everything Lord.
 
I received an email from Lisa4Catholics tonight. She is home now, but continues to have health problems.
Please continue to pray for her in her needs.

As always, I am praying for all who post here. God bless each one of you.
 
Zooey, thank you. I will pray for Lisa. But please pray for my health too. My health is deteriorating. Please pray that I get healthier before Christmas. Thank you. Bless you all. I will keep praying for you.

I went to church. I confessed and received the Eucharist at mass. I hope you all had a pleasant time at church. May the peace of the Lord be with you. Please do not forget to pray for me. I am asking the Lord for wisdom and strength to do what it is in His will for me to do.

Please pray for me. I am trying to follow the path less taken and it is by far the hardest thing to do. Bless you all.

Thank you all. It’s been a rough few days but God is still watching over us. My parish priest, is at the hospital with his mother, so we are 2 families in need and supporting one another. I will print this out for Father and his mother** Mary** who is critical also. They are one floor up from the cancer unit, and we keep each others spirits up. It’s pretty special to have Father there so much and even in his sorrow he is helping us, so God is working for us all. Please add his Mom “Mary”, to your prayers. She is like a second mother to me, so I am praying double time for my Gene and Mary.

In the morning they will do a byopsy of the lung tumors to see what treatment they might try to slow down the cancer and give him some relief from the suffering. It won’t cure it, but it may help if they can identify the tumor type. We are praying it is still the Sqamous cell tumors and not an explosion of his hereditary Melanoma. Neither can be cured, but the sqamous is easier to treat for pain and slow it down.

Update on Lisa4Catholics:
I was able to reach her by phone this afternoon. She was in the hospital due to an infection that she was originally seen at the emergency clinic for on the Monday before Thanksgiving. They gave her some antibiotics and pain medication and did a minor procedure, then sent her home. She then found out that the antibiotics were not strong enough, so she wanted them to give her a stronger prescription. Apparently, the docs had other ideas and put her in the hospital for IV antibiotics. She was feeling weak and is sleeping alot. She also has other health issues, as well. Please keep her in her prayers.

I will keep Lisa and Maggie’s loved ones in my prayers today. We are here to pass on the word of the Lord.

Please continue to pray for those that are ill or weak.
Please pray for all those that are fighting the Aids virus.
Please pray for all those that are trying to fight an addiction.
Please pray for all those that are being trialled unfairly. May the truth be revealed.
Please pray for all those that are undergoing some kind of test. May the Holy Spirit guide them.
Please pray for all those that are trying to do the Lords work (the pope, priests, nuns, monks, charity org., volunteers). May the Lord give them guidance and hope so they do not give up their efforts.

Thank you all for praying for me. I am also not in good health. Please pray for me. I know the Lord will make me better one day. I hope that day comes soon. Bless you all. Take care.
 
Need some prayers… I’m struggling with unemplyment which makes me wonder what God has in mind for me. The days are long, and I find myslef doubting where I am to go and what I am supposed to do. I also, broke off an engagement recently which brings thoughts of my lost future…

Pretty hazy out here…

Any prayers would be greatly appreciated…
