I’m writing to ask for your prayers for a little boy named Peter. Peter is almost one year-old, but has been in the hospital for most of his life. He has had many surgeries to try and fix a number of complications in his abdomen. Over the last week, things have taken a turn for the worse, and Peter needs your prayers.

The doctors had planned to perform a surgery to put him “back together” for lack of a better term. His bowels and intestines are all disconnected because of previous surgeries, and they have been feeding him directly into his intestines. This surgery was to be a big step in his road to recovery.

The problem is, they found a small hole in one of his intestines, and now the surgery needs to be postponed. If this hole doesn’t heal in the next couple of weeks, they’ll continue to feed him only through an IV, and that may result in his liver eventually shutting down, forcing them to do a liver transplant.

I ask that you please pray for the specific intention that this hole in the intestines heals, so the doctors may be able to do the surgery that is needed. Peter’s family has four children, and they have a very heavy cross to bear, so I thank you so much for your prayers and support.

Please pass this on to anyone you may know that could pray for Peter and his family.

**In The Name Of The Father, The Son And The Holy Spirit

Hail Mary Full Of Grace The Lord Is With Thee

Blessed Art Thou Amongst Women And

Blessed Is The Fruit Of Thy Womb Jesus

Holy Mary Mother Of God Pray For Our Sinners Now

And At The Hour Of Our Death Amen

Oh most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, people honor and invoke you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for Us, for We are so helpless and alone. Please help to bring us visible and speedy assistance. Come to our assistance in this great need that We may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all our necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly all the needs posted and prayed for in this forum and that We may praise God with you always. We promise, Oh blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as our special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you by publishing this request. Amen**

Prayers for all on this thread.

Just like to take a minute to honour and pray for the victims of 9-11-2001 and those affected by the tragedy of that day.

Eternal Rest grant unto them O Lord
And let Perpetual Light shine upon them
And may they Rest In Peace.

:amen:

To all those out there in the forums, I know that my needs are trifle compared with some of you out there yet I still need guidance. I am thinking of converting to Catholicsm. AS of now I am a lukewarm methodist\ non-denominational christian. My wife is a wonderful, beautiful woman who desires no religion (because I believe she has been raised among lukewarm christians and been exposed to the worst christian hypocrisy available) I however believe that it is necessary for a healthy happy marriage in the longrun. I ask that you all pray for us and most importantly her, that she may seek the Lord so that she may find Him. I pray this everyday, after awhile it begins to feel hopeless because you can’t force someone to believe something but you can still pray that they will change their own ways. How do you get someone to seek God who doesn’t even register in herself that she needs a relationship with him? Please pray for her and me as we continue in our marriage. Thank you and and thank you for the Catholic faith dear Lord and that you have pulled me into its fold.

I have some prayer requests 🙂 Thanks to everyone who prays.

For the conversion of my family members (Mom, Dad, sister) They’re all fallen away Catholics. This weighs on my heart so heavily. I’m not sure if they’re even religious at all anymore, and I worry about them. Also for my sister’s children who aren’t being taught much about God. (as far as I can tell).

For my step mother who has been battling cancer for years now, and is in pain right now. She suffers and has always been so optimistic. She’s Baptist and has so much faith in Jesus. She’s not afraid to die, but she suffers. And my Dad suffers also watching his wife suffer. Pray my Dad finds faith to see him through the upcoming pain that’s probably in the future for him, that he doesn’t sink into despair.

For my son who is struggling in school. He tries so hard, but he’s disorganized and forgetful and sad from past school failures.

Thanks to all who pray for my intentions.

Prayers for all intentions on this thread.:gopray2:

Please pray for my brother. It would take several days to post his whole messed up story. But, he is now at a crossroads. Pray that this juncture will lead him back to the Church.

I’m am praying for all the requests on this thread.

For my exams please.
You’re always worrying about exams, poor old seraph. I can remember when I was an eager enough student to worry like that (before the bitterness and disillusion set in 😉 )

If it’s any consolation I have the opportunity to attend Mass twice tomorrow so I’ll remember you especially at both of 'em 👍

😦 My oldest son has a big problem…:crying: He was bike riding with a friend of his a few weeks ago. At night. They raced to the end of the street which is a dead end. My son won, but he didn’t stop before the bike hit the curb. Anyway, he tumbled headfirst over the handle bars. His neck has bothered him ever since. Now his hands are numb. Went to the doctor and it turns out he broke his neck.

He doesn’t have insurance and needs surgery.

Its not worrying, just wanting to do my best in all things for God (that parable with the talents and so forth;)). I ask for prayers, as I know it is only with God’s help I can do anything.😃

If you require any prayers, please do not hesitate to PM me Lily:).

An excellent reply seraph … I really need to ponder that parable myself more often. Pray for me in my unworthiness and laziness :bowdown2:

OH Maggie I am so sorry to hear this, please know you and your son are in my prayers.

I received this prayer request by email: A lady (Lynn) in this area was babysitting her 3 year old granddaughter Sirena. Apparently, an appliance had been left on or malfunctioned…In any case, the house burned while they were in it.
Lynn could have got out, but would not abandon the little one, & rescued her.
Lynn is burned over 65% of her body, including 100% of her back, & will almost certainly lose a hand and 1 leg.
Sirena is burned over 30% of her body, especially the head & face & they are going to take off one ear that is too bad to save.
Also, prayers for Sirena’s mom, Erica, who was not there…and the entire family.
Thank you so much. Your intentions are in my prayers.
God bless.

My humble prayers for you all. To young Peter to sweetchuck to the good people with marriage dificulties to the young lady with severe depression. I pray for all you good people. I ask you to pray for me, someone you do not know. I have been checking this forum for a couple months now and I find hope in this group. My prayer request is that we all try to do something small for a stranger or enemy today. A smile or open the door. I know how just one nice word can help a day become better.

I also, humble, ask you to pray for me. I am unworthy compared to most here. For my desperate situation has been caused by my own Sin. Please help me as I have succumbed to temptation a few months back. I go for a test soon that will decide my future. I am very much afraid. I pray that if the test turns bad, that I will continue to try to follow the path of the Lord. I pray (and pray) that if the test are good, that I am truly thankful and that I continue on the path to salvation. I am a wretched sinner. I have been attending Mass weekly for the past several months and going to confessions fairly often. I pray that I continue to strive to be good like so many of the people on this site. I have only myself to blame for this Sin.I, and I alone, am responsible for my actions. I am not a young person and I have seen a lot, none of it has fulfilled me.

I humble and gratefully thank you all.

p.s. Please pray for the person that I Sinned with. Help to give direction so that the true path is found for the both of us. My Sincerest Thanks.

I have tried to live life without Sinning by hiding in a pit of my own making. I now know that the only way out of Sin is to stand in the light and help others.

Please help me. Let me be there to help others.

I have borrowed this prayer from another member. I hope it does not offend as I find it to be of my own thinking.

Try to be Good (TLR)
