Prayers for a 4 y/o boy with a tumor on his brain stem

UPDATE

Thank you all for your continued prayers. I received an update today.

Dakota’s surgery will be on Monday June 9 at a different hospital for children (this one is Catholic, the other one wasn’t.)

He told his mommy not to cry because someone had come to visit him in his dreams. This visitor told him that he’s going to go to heaven to be with God and the Angels. Dakota also told his mommy that he is tired of being sick all of the time.
 
Amazing, I know a story very similar.
God is so wonderful.
I’m praying for this little one to be healed of all his pain.
 
Eternal Father, I also want to pray for this very precious child and his family. Be with them through this very difficult time in their lives.

Eternal Father, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Dear God -
Society takes more notice of people in the news - Ted Kennedy has just suffered a brain tumor and surgery. This young child, Dakota, has not made the headlines - except in their parents’ lives - and in Your Eyes. Grant the graces necessary for this child - spiritual and temporal; grant the strength necessary for the parents. I ask this by Thy Divine Grace and Mercy, through Our Lady’s intercession, in the Name of Thy Divine Son, Jesus - and through the prayers and intercession of St. Peregrine - cancer saint. Amen.
 
I just wanted to get this thread back in view today.

I haven’t received any updates yet. Dakota’s surgery is supposed to be today. It’s probably happening right now.

Lord of all healing and loving kindness, we lift Dakota up to You, beseeching Your Divine Mercy upon him and his loved ones. You created his young life and You alone have sustained it. Now, in his time of need, we know that You will not abandon him, Lord, but are ever nearer to him. Graciously surround him with surgeons, nurses and technicians who reflect Your love to those around them. Bless them with a level of competence that fully serves Your Will, O Father. Out of Your unfathomable love, incline Your ear to hear the intercession of Blessed Jesus, Who sits at Your Right Hand. See that Dakota’s guardian Angel, created and appointed by You, is hovering over him, ever vigilant on Dakota’s behalf, during this procedure. May the unending prayers of the Angels and Saints resound as a chorus in Heaven, catching Your Mercy. May our prayers rise to Heaven in the fashion of incense from the altars of this world, which were constructed in honor of You. And, when Your Will has been fulfilled, may there be celebration in Heaven and on earth as we glorify Your Holy Name. Mercifully grant this through Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior, Who lives and reins with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
 
Lord please help Dakota and his family. May you help little Daota get though this.
 
Here’s an update on Dakota:

He made it through the surgery!!! Praise God and thank you for all of your prayers! The surgery lasted over 10 hours and they were able to remove 80% of the tumor. As of last night, they were still waiting for the pathology reports.

Dakota is in the ICU and able to talk. He was expressing his great discomfort and how he didn’t want to be still.

I take all of that as a positive sign! Please pray for his continued recovery and for his comfort as he goes forward.

THANK GOD!!! What a relief that must be to Dakota’s parents. May he recover soon and grow to be a healthy active child and wonderful adult in years to come.
 
Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Dakota and his family.
 
Eternal Father, for the sake of the sorrowful passion of your divine Son our Lord Jesus Christ, look kindly upon Dakota. Bathe him with the healing blood of our Lord Jesus. Give him a full and holy life for your greater honor and glory. Amen
