Holy Mother, please come to the aid of this family. Please ask our Lord to provide for all of their material and spiritual needs. Amen.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

St. Francis, the little poor man of Assisi, we invoke you as the admirable mirror you were of our Divine Master. You imitated Christ the Lord in your humility and obedience. You faithfully followed Him in poverty and weakness. With joy you accepted suffering, contempt, and trials for the sake of His Name. In your goodness, help us, then, to imitate your example. By your power with God, obtain for us the special favor we now seek through your intercession (state your special intention). Please Pray for prbarrera as he is Praying and helping a family who is in great need.

Please pray for us, gentle and happy saint of the poor, that we may always be loyal followers of Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and filled always with divine riches. Amen.

A Prayer for the poor by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those people throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger. Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread, and by our understanding love, give them peace and Joy. Amen

Official Prayer of the Group for the poor

Dear Lord,

We lift up to you the poor and the marginalized.

We know that these are your cherished ones, that you are a God whose heart cries out for justice, that you are a God who longs to feed the hungry. We ask simply, Lord, that you give us your heart.

Fill us Lord with your compassion, give us your eyes to see, give us boldness and selflessness and wisdom, so that we too might cry out for justice and feed the hungry, so that your light might shine throughout the earth.

Lord, we especially lift up the children among us who are poor and marginalized, finding themselves in circumstances they did not choose and helpless to change. We lift up AIDS orphans, children of war, children suffering abuse and neglect, children smitten with malnutrition an disease, lacking education, housing or the most basic of life’s necessities. Might they somehow come to know the love of their Creator, who knows each hair on their head and collects their tears.

Lord, you know every wretched tale. Every overwhelming statistic, you know personally, one by one. Thank you that one day you will make all things right through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Until that day, let us be tireless in doing what is good and what is right unto the least of these, knowing the Father’s love for them. Amen

Well, I have some sad news… Last early Tuesday morning, the only child (a son) of the family was robbed before going to work. I said to him, crime will be up there will be a ban on weapons, as the community elections will be held this October 28. Plus, the city where they live has lot of festivities coming in this October: as the patron of the city is of the Holy Guardian Angels, then the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Lord’s Sepulchre on the last Friday of the month, plus Octoberfest on the last Friday & Saturday of the month as well. Definitely, elements here or elsewhere who do not fear the law (hence, not God-fearing people) will commit crimes like these.

Another thing, 2 of the puppies are not feeling well since yesterday. Well, Nancy is okay, but Gringgo is still in observation at home & is under folk medication.

Anyway, I learned this through text messaging (SMS) with the son & his niece who lives in their house. The other member of the family is the 80+ year old father (the son was a menopause baby, he was conceived in their ages of 50 or so).

The mother died long time ago due to breast cancer.

St. Jude Thaddeus, pray for us!

Thank you and God bless you for keeping all of us up-to-date. Thank you for all that you do. By the way, how are you doing?

I am so sorry that their son was robbed before going to work how very scary and upsetting that must have been for him but please tell him not to lose faith.

St. Nicholas of Myra and St. Leonard patron Saints against theft and robbers please hear our Prayers. Amen.

Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

I am doing well, goforgoal. The materials for my home parish is ready, & I hope I may attend the 5 PM Mass (which counts as a Sunday Mass) tomorrow & have the materials turned over. I will let the parish work on it on their 1st Sunday morning monthly meeting.

Almost finish in the remaining materials for Our Lady of Victory Parish.

Yesterday, I mailed some materials for 2 campus chaplains. I am not able to meet them directly to give their materials, so I am sending their materials now by mail, phase by phase. One of the chaplains I already met, the other is presiding Mass at Holy Rosary Parish, though I have not yet met him personally.

I also mailed a prayer card (St. Teresa of the Los Andes, the Discalced Carmelite of Chile) & a prayer booklet (Let us Remember the Faithful Departed) to my Archbishop. His Auxilliary Bishop got his copy weeks back as well, through contacts in Holy Rosary Parish, where he is the Parish Priest as well.

About the family… As said before the deceased mother had breast cancer before. She was a schoolteacher. She was able to receive chemotherapy that “extended” her life for a few more years, before losing it due to a cardiac arrest. Unlike to another mother I knew, she also had breast cancer & had her right breast removed (that also cost her right arm as well during the operation), but no chemotherapy follow-up. She only lived for a year after that.

St. Mary Faustina Kowalska, pray for us!

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us & of the whole world.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us & of the whole world.
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us & of the whole world.

Jesus, King of Mercy, we trust in you!

Thank you for this update, although I am sorry to hear it is something scary happening. God bless you for helping this family!

St. Bruno, pray for us!

I was able to attend Saturday 5 PM Mass (counts as a Sunday liturgy) at my home parish. So today, I was able to visit the family at earliest.

The puppies that were sick are now recovering. Nancy looks fine but Gringgo suffered weight loss. The 2nd pup, JV, who was not able to get sick, well, I tried to send him to the nearest veterinarian for vaccination (leptospirosis, parvovirus, hepatitis, influenza, canine distemper). The doctor, however, have the session postponed, because the dog has fever. Her father (who is also a veterinarian as well) saw the pup at 1st impression that he isn’t in the pink of health. The doctor advised me to give them deworming medicine & food supplements before coming back next week.

The pups are more of the roaming type, since there’s no space in the house or where to put them in the yard. They each have a leash, but they seem not yet used to it, unlike the other older 3 dogs there. I bought a cage earlier too. A chicken cage that I have modify as a dog house, since the real ones are pricey. Well the dog house needs improvement though.

Progress on things in & out of the house is very slow. I am not getting outside help either.

Anyway, after that, since I missed Immaculate Conception Parish (it rained around 4 PM), I sent some materials to Our Lady of Victory Parish.

I was happy yesterday afternoon, since the courier came. The nuns of the Congregation Augustinian Recollect Sisters sent me prayer cards for distribution. I faxed my letter that time instead of doing snail mail, & made a follow-up & told me to wait for the delivery. The cards were for the Prayer for Favors for the intercession of Servants of God Dionisia & Cecilia Talangpaz, Foundresses of their congregation. My home parish & the Our Lady of Victory Parish got theirs, which will be sent to their Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs).

And it was a good guess of mine as well. I was thinking yesterday that after preparing the materials for Our Lady of Victory Parish, the courier that I am expecting will come… And it did! 🙂

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.

To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.

Amen.

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, pray for us!

Fortunately, I believe the puppies are recovering well, since I was able to provide vaccinations from their mother (against rabies, influenza, leptospirosis, parvovirus, influenza, hepatitis, bordetella/canine cough). The puppies got the antibodies from the milk they got from their mother. And of course, let’s not forget prayers too. 🙂

Mother Thrice Admirabe,
Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt

Childlike Trust to Mary
Queen of Schoenstatt

We believe, O Mother, in your great might,
Though you be hidden as in darkest night.
We believe in your victorious strength
Through our desires
May find no recompense.
We love you, Mother, who so tenderly
Love each and all of us unceasingly.
We love you, too, when you do not bestow
Your endless riches on us here below.
Yet in your mercy and benevolence
Increase our faith and childlike confidence.

O let us always see your loving care
That, strong in faith, we do not fear to dare
But face the future sure of victory,
Looking to you for guidance trustfully.
Our love will free us from all earthly ties
That, eager and prepared for a sacrifice,
We offer life and love and loyalty
Serving you now and in eternity. Amen.

Lord please help this family Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Most Holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of the particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (please intercede for me & for the family that I am helping with) and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever. I promised, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen.
