I don’t even wanna be a member on here anymore…from the unchristian conduct of ALL of you just being on here stains me with your sins.

Please point out what I’ve written that is hypocritical.

Thank you.
I’m not going to go round and round with you like that one dude did all I’m going to say is you got a lot of stuff to work out and you’re not a Christian.

Off topic again, but we all need to remember to keep one another in prayer.

I thought one of the spiritual works of mercy is to admonish the sinner. Is this now changed?
I’m not sure about others, but I’m feel as though I’m commanded by God not to judge. If admonishing sinners worked, I would suggest our visiting our many prisons. No, I do not believe that admonishing the sinner would work nearly as well as our good Catholic examples, along with unconditional love.

LOVE! ❤️

You are absolutely correct in saying that living out our Catholic faith as an example to others is an effective method of bringing Christ to the world. I disagree with you, however, on the details. Many will confuse your passive position with the acceptance of immoral behavior. We are called to be like Christ, who in his perfect love, never condoned or gave the impression that he approved of sin. He loved sinners unconditionally - and precisely because he loved them, he always told them to turn away from sin. This is the kind of love we are called to. This kind of love is far more difficult, but far deeper and efficacious, than the “who am I to judge” approach.

I’m not so sure that whether or not one is successful is the measure by which one ought to act. One never knows the effect one has, by word or by deed.

I know if I saw my children living in sin, I would do all I could to help them turn away from it.

Many of us do visit the prisoner and the homeless. To suggest that those trying to help lead people away from sin are not doing these ministries sound a bit judgmental on your part. 🙂

You said it better than I. Thank you.

And a great Catholic example is showing repugnance at public displays of grievous sin.

Only a moron would not know the Catholic Church’s true position on homosexuality. Admonishment is not an effective method of attitude change (except maybe with our own children). True compassion, unconditional love and good example are the keys; we ought to not want to simply to have them change their homosexual behavior, but to win them over to Christianity through true repentance of all their sins.

The reason people know the Church’s position is because people make the position known. If every Catholic followed your advice, no one would know the Church’s position.

Christ himself admonished sinners.
