President Obama to receive honorary degree from Notre Dame

Pray for the conversion of his soul so that he understands the Truth. Perhaps with his presense at Notre Dame Truth will be revealed to him.

This is what I sent:
I am appalled at your announcement that President Obama will deliver the commencement speech at your University. As a pro-life pro-family Catholic residing in California, I have had to bear with patience and restraint assaults on the sanctity of life, the family, and even freedom of religion from every quarter. Unfortunately, I have also had to bear witness to supposedly “catholic” politicians like Pelosi, Kennedy, Biden, et al, twist Catholic teaching to their own purposes and be a shining example of scandal for all to see.

However, I was taken aback and sickened that Notre Dame, (“Our Lady”, for heaven’s sake!) would host or confer any honors on the most pro-death President the United States has ever seen. This is not a good example for Catholics, or for your students, and most of all, it is not good for the unborn, the disabled, the sick, and the elderly that we are trying to protect. Who will speak for them, if not you in your actions as a Catholic University?

Did all of you also protest when George Bush gave the commencement address? The president who initiated an unjust war in Iraq, authorized torture, etc.?

If you are consistently Catholic, you would have.

An war, which may or may not have been unjust (no one has spoken definitively) cannot compare with the wanton murder of children and the promotion of embryonic stem cell research, and the long list of grossly anti-Christian policies promoted or supported by Obama. To compare them is utterly ridiculous.

This thread is about President Barack H. Obama being *honored *at a Catholic University. Anyone think this is a *good *idea?

WHEN will libs. get it through their souls that the above is one of PRUDENTIAL judgement for a Catholic to make. ABORTION is Intrinsically evil, get it? And how do you know that all of us were not against the War in Iraq, torture etc.??? Huh, huh??

I can see where you guys are coming from as catholic.

But…he’s the president, perhaps the most important president we’ve had since FDR. I don’t like his stance on abortion, but he’s done many other good things in his short run as our commander in chief.

Then let a secular university honor him; I’m sure they are lining up in order to do so. For a Catholic university to do this thing, it gives the impression that Catholics accept his stance on abortion; which, by the way, is why he accepted *this *offer.

Either we are for a culture of life, or we are not.

Hey 50 million or six million later, Hitler at least had the trains running on time.

We are either dealing with human life here, or not. If it is acceopted that we are, then itis monstrous to make such an argument.
 
What a disgrace…the most pro-abortion president ,also favors late term abortion,etc etc and he is to speak to the graduating class of N.Dame!!! I wrote to the pres.of that school asking him to also invite Judas to chat about Christianity and how it can be attacked. I hope thousands of grads write the Vatican demanding that this so called ‘Catholic’ college be forced to drop that designation…this is right in the face treason against all that we believe in…of course when treason prosper…none dare call it treason!
 
He is not only pro abortion…he wants to be able to force others to perform abortions…he supports Foca which intends to force all health care people to supply birth control and abortion on demand regardless of their own views on the matter

He has already forced taxpayers to support abortion in China, where women can’t say no…He is aloowing experimentation on human embryos…I think its like inviting Satan to speak…
