Winner: Romney

2 areas where he could have done better: 1. explain that once fear of The Socialist is out of the way, a hotter economy generates the needed increased tax revenues, and 2. needed more play on “You didn’t build This.” - though maybe he was saving it for the final debate as ace up the sleeve.

That is harsh and hypocritical considering the comments has Obama has made about people clinging to their guns, Bible and religion and Obama’s comments that ‘You didn’t build it.’

Dramatic? Just stating facts.

For every debate, the democratic ticket has complained about not having equal time. And in every debate the democratic ticket ended up with more time.

Just the facts.

Which one? The Arizona falsehood that Obama mentioned? Or, are you talking about the falsehood that Obama tried to further that he referred to the Libya attack as a terrorist act?

Abyssinia, with all due respect you think anything that someone says against Romney is harsh and hypocritical. Let’s be real and admit BOTH these guys are making crazy comments. “47%” will haunt Romney for the rest of his political career. He put his own foot in his own mouth.

Very true.

Romney has been campaigning almost non-stop for two years. During that time he has flip-flopped on positions many times, and has tried to tailor his message to whichever group he was speaking to at the time. However, in Romney’s comments about 47%, he was unfiltered and was in many ways was revealing the true essence of his character, and it is not a flattering picture.
 
Wow, Obama sure was defensive. The beginning of the debate sounded like talking points from his political ads. You know the ones he supposedly doesn’t have any control over because his pac controls them. :rolleyes:

It was getting to the point where I starting thinking if his lips are moving you know a whopper is coming. Really, Obama wants energy independence for us all of a sudden? Ya, what about that pipe line you blocked? And those new coal regulations? And those oil drilling permits you froze?

He has a do nothing record ( except for obamatax) for the last 4 years which is why all he talks about is what his plans are for the next 4. Oh wait, the next 4 where he says he wants to spend more on education and blah blah blah. And he called Romney a liar how many times? You know what they about finger pointing. 😛

I think Romney missed some opportunities although in general I thought he did ok.

Candy Crowley, wow the worst moderator of a debate I’ve seen in many many years.

We’re still talking about Obama’s clinging to guns, Bible and religion comment 4 years after he made the comment so that has not left him. Most politcians, and non politcians make a stupid comment and regret. Romney said what he wsaid was wrong in regards to the 47%. I do not think Obama has retracted or apologised for his 'clinging comment and neither his ‘You didn’t build that’ comment

Concur. Great example: his refusal to take a stand on planned parenthood, contraception, and abortion in the debate tonight.

Yes. It got applause when Candi Crowley lied about Obama calling the Libya attack a “terrorist act,” and it got applause a second time, when Candi Crowley correctly stated that it took 2 weeks for the administration to admit that it wasn’t due to a demonstration over a video. So, is it that Obama lie you are referring to?

EDIT ADD: I don’t think Crowley outright lied…she just recalled the transcript incorrectly.
