When he was asked how he would differ from Bush I thought, ‘He attacked Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m going to attack Syria and Iran.’
Which has always been the case, unless you can point out which federal contraception laws there are.Yeah, I noticed that little comment as well. . .
Hmmmmmm
He said “access.” He didn’t say that the government or employer should pay for it.“I think every woman in America should have access to contraceptive care and the President has my policy totally wrong.” -Romney
Does that make you feel any better about the man…? Sure doesn’t make me feel any better about my probably vote.
Well, many people and not just women are concerned with pay inequality.
He has refused to take a stand on the issue, he’s backpedaled from it every time. Ryan took a far stronger stance, and his stance wasn’t even that strong. He said “access.” He didn’t say that the government or employer should pay for it.
He has said that he will cut Planned Parenthood. President Obama supports the funding of Planned Parenthood, legalization of abortion as well as gay marriage, and supports the HHS Mandate which is a serious threat to religious freedom especially for Catholics. All well and good, but:
- He didn’t say that, unfortunately, and
- He keeps telling us that “he knows what it takes,” but keeps this knowledge to himself. Then, apparently assuming that we don’t need to know, he spends the rest of his time telling us how Obama has failed. I’d rather hear what he would DO.
CNN has a continuous speaking clock for both candidates:Does anyone know where I can go to get a time count?
Well the “odds” have only gone way up since then. If they’re not correct, some people are about to lose a whole lot of money.Yup. Intrade is a left wing joke (at least every time I check one of their votes).
I was (and throughout this thread I am) referring to his debate performance. He has said that he will cut Planned Parenthood. President Obama supports the funding of Planned Parenthood, legalization of abortion as well as gay marriage, and supports the HHS Mandate which is a serious threat to religious freedom especially for Catholics.
This is the crux of Romney’s big problem. He has no plan.He has refused to take a stand on the issue, he’s backpedaled from it every time. Ryan took a far stronger stance, and his stance wasn’t even that strong.
My problem with his debate performance is that he hasn’t stood on principle throughout the debate. The one principle that he has consistently hit every question is “the past four years have been terrible.” He has said nothing specific on a positive note, even when challenged that the math doesn’t add up. All he’s done is assure us that he knows what to do, without caring to explain what exactly that is. All because he’s been letting his clock run down bashing his opponent’s record.
He said he wants everyone to have access to cintraception That is a stand. He has refused to take a stand on the issue, he’s backpedaled from it every time. Ryan took a far stronger stance, and his stance wasn’t even that strong.

That is a stand. If you have to take a single stand, I would call that a poor choice. He said he wants everyone to have access to cintraception That is a stand.
That’s deep.Id vote for Bush over either of them.
I think he DOES have definite plans, but doesn’t/can’t/won’t fully articulate them during the debates. Maybe it’s because he is too focused on attacking Obama’s positions, maybe it’s because he realizes they aren’t the most popular (defunding Planned Parenthood is still a political hot potato), maybe he’s trying to pull a pseudo-2008-Obama and appeal to everyone, etc. This is the crux of Romney’s big problem. He has no plan.
Link? I’m a two year graduate of a community college, been with the same company for nearly 20 years and have had my current job for 15 1/2 years, as a male with seniority, i’d be ticked to discover that a female in my dept. with a law degree doing the same job as me is making more than me.What is your argument? There are statistics on pay inequality, and it’s a perfectly valid topic. And Romney didn’t answer the question at all.
I voted for him four times He was a good President. Id take him as President again in a minute. That’s deep.
