Romney’s taking the Ross Perot stance…he just said, ‘gridlock’

As long as he doesn’t say “You’re the boss, i’m just Ross” then he hasn’t gone too far down that path.

Çrowley helped Obama promote the lie that he called Libya an act of terror on September12.

That is true, but I think she genuinely thought Obama’s use of the words “act of terror” were meant to characterize that attack. In fairness, Crowley also confirmed that it took 2 weeks for the President to state that it was an act of terror, as opposed to a spontaneous demonstration.

Of course he is used to it, he demanded more time two weeks ago and Biden did the same thing last week.

What debate were you watching? how many times did you hear “I know how to do this” from Romney without hearing anything REMOTELY specific?

I agree that Romney could have been more specific on some things.

However, there is an important point I wish to make which is you can’t criticize the man on two fronts for 1) saying that he doesn’t offer any specifics and then 2) make claims about exactly what his plan would do. Either there are no specifics in which case it is fair to call someone out on that; or there are enough specifics for one to do the complex mathematics needed to score the policy and predict an outcome. It cannot be both of those things. The President, and Obama supporters seem to want it both ways, and they are mutually exclusive.

I agree.

I don’t think either “dominated.” The President certainly did much better than he did in the first debate. I think Romney was better in the first debate. From a style standpoint, they tied. I think it was either a draw or Romney, but we’ll see what the rest of the country thinks. My vote, and yours, are pretty well settled.

Obama was arguing with the mod over time when I turned the TV on. Was he that obnoxious all night?

I disagree. I think Romney got the better of Obama.

Obama did a decent job of defending himself - much better than the first time. However, Romney did a good job of pointing out the reality of the current economy and the 4 years of failure…e.g. slower growth this year than last…than last year from the year before that…

Let’s not get dramatic: it was a grand total of 4 minutes . (44 minutes for Obama and 40 for Romney).

I think you’re incorrect on that count, because the problem is that Romney only offers HALF of his plan… the half that everyone wants to hear. Tax cuts and a strong military. He refuses to go into the other half… how to pay for it. That’s the problem, and that’s the gaping hole.

The arrogance of saying: “Well of COURSE the math adds up” is absolutely astonishing. The President claims that your plan adds 8 trillion to the deficit, and all you can do is reassure us that it adds up without mentioning any specific cuts or loopholes to close. It’s mind boggling. His argument in EVERY debate is, “Trust me, I go this. Now let’s talk about how much worse off you are than you were four years ago.”
