I think you’re incorrect on that count, because the problem is the Romney only offers HALF of his plan… the half that everyone wants to hear. Tax cuts and a strong military. He refuses to go into the other half… how to pay for it. That’s the problem, and that’s the gaping hole.

The arrogance of saying: “Well of COURSE the math adds up” is absolutely astonishing. The President claims that your plan adds 8 trillion to the deficit, and all you can do is reassure us that it adds up without mentioning any specific cuts or loopholes to close. It’s mind boggling. His argument in EVERY debate is, “Trust me, I go this. Now let’s talk about how much worse off you are than you were four years ago.”

And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.

Not at all. Romney’s comment completely blunted the 47% comment. It made it appear as it was…political rhetoric.

I haven’t gotten a chance to watch the debate yet, but judging from all the buzz I’ve seen so far it looks like they were pretty evenly matched and the only ones declaring it a blowout either way are the partisan hacks.

Anyone know who’s going to be the moderator of the last debate?

I think we’re talking past each other. Here’s the issue:

Obama: Your proposals will increase the deficit by 8 trillion, and you haven’t given us anything concrete as far as what you’re going to cut and what loopholes you’re going to close. The math doesn’t add up.

Romney: OF COURSE the math adds up.

That’s the problem. Are we on the same page now?

I don’t think either “dominated.” The President certainly did much better than he did in the first debate. I think Romney was better in the first debate. From a style standpoint, they tied. I think it was either a draw or Romney, but we’ll see what the rest of the country thinks. My vote, and yours, are pretty well settled.

Neither dominated.

But one was caught in a falsehood, and it created one of the most memorable moments of the debate.

Actually not quite half. High 30-low 40% was what the fact checkers came up with.

Well, Romney did ask him “what percentage did you cut it,” but Obama didn’t give “high 30-low 40%” as an answer.
