PP provide breast exam, which a woman can do herself. US Preventive Services Task Force guideline do not endorse clinical breast exam

Probably this comes from the fact that Ambassador Rice went on 5 talk shows several days afterwards and said it was a protest related to the video. The President said the same thing several days afterwards on Dave Letterman and Jay Carney said it repeatedly in press briefings for many days after the attack. This was despite the fact that everyone knew it was not a protest immediately. There was real time video of the attack which showed it was not a protest and that it was a coordinated attack. Only after the main stream media started asking questions and people started testifying before congress did the narrative change from the White House.

Maybe Obama would have said something else, but he really didn’t have time…didn’t want to miss his fundraising events in Vegas and Colorado…priorities. The bumps in the road had to wait. 😦

Actually, I clarified my original statement. While USPSTF does not endorse CBE or self BE, they are not the authority of women’s health services. Several other groups released statements after the USPSTF 2009 report to uphold annual mammography at age 40, SBE and CBE.

A clinical breast exam is the same thing as a self breast exam. You know, the one women should be doing every month?

Yes, they refer out. They don’t even own a mammogram machines, so they CAN’T provide mammograms.

So if Obama mentioned that PP does mammograms, chalk it up to another lie. (or misstatement)

A woman can do a self breast exam; Planned Parenthood is not needed to do those

Actually, a CBE is performed by a physician, NP, or other health professional so it is not a SBE.
