If Trump wins a second term, we’re going to have WAY more to worry about than that.
Oh yes! DOW at 30,000. Unemployment at 3%. No wars to spend money on. No need to fund abortions in foreign countries. No spike in fuel prices.

Scary!

Unemployment at 3%.
That is questionable. It could be higher or it could be lower.

The denominator is based on the US Population Counter.
So after the tabulation of the 2020 Census, we could possibly see that the Unemployment rate was actually higher or actually lower.

Beyond that the unemployment is rather a straight line indicating the Trump did nothing to improve the rate.
If Trump had actually done something to improve, then you would see a downward turn of the graph instead of this:

Dow stuck at 27000, Unemployment at 6%, the US an international pariah with no travel allowed to other countries due to the persistent Covid-19 US infections, no spike in fuel prices because there is nowhere to drive to. Constant threat of impeachment and 25th amendment invocation.

See, others can do that, too.

Sure. But mine is demonstrably reasonable, because we were almost there before Covid in some ways, and were there in others. You’re just expressing your negative feelings about Trump without having a firm basis for saying any of that.

You’re assuming that there has been no long term damage to the economy caused by the Covid-19 crisis, which I think is magical thinking. Things have changed. Some companies aren’t coming back. Others will be at reduced capacity for years. The way we conduct business may fundamentally change.

The way other countries see us has changed. Hegemony has changed in the world. We have relinquished our standing as a leader.

So, no, this is not unreasonable.

Unemployment at 3%.
Don’t know where that figure comes from.

Probably Brietbart or FoxNews?

Definitely not here:

the lowest is ever got was 3.5

The average for 2019 was 3.7:

Topics like this are great for watching the fantasies of various posters come to life. It is a contest to see who can get the next “here’s what maniacal thing I think trump is going to do, wuhahahaha!!” post out on the board.

If Trump wins, people’s heads are going to explode around here.
If Mr. Trump wins, I shall breathe a sigh of relief – providing, of course, that we can keep or increase our majority in the Senate and take back the House. He’s going to need all the help he can get, not because he has committed any crime, but because the other side, if they prevail in any of those areas, will continue to obstruct, malign, persecute unjustly, and do whatever they can to overturn his re-election, just as they have tried to overturn his initial victory.

If Biden wins, THEN my head will explode! Goodbye America, land of the free.

He’s going to need all the help he can get, not because he has committed any crime,
If he committed no crime, why was he so upset when the very justices he appointed ruled against giving him immunity. Methinks his first priority was not the country.

In this environment in which he has to lead, he doesn’t need to commit a crime to be accused of one. He was upset over not being granted immunity because without it, he could be wrongly accused and indicted, and wrongly convicted of almost anything his persecutors decide to invent. Innocence doesn’t matter to these folks. They want to get him, any way they can. And if they can’t do it while he’s in office, they’ll try to do it after he leaves. The simple truth: HATRED OF MR. TRUMP, AND REVENGE AGAINST HIM FOR HILLARY’S LOSS. And, they’ll stop at nothing to achieve that.

While they’re at it, they (think) they’ll be teaching the voters a lesson not to elect a non-politician, or a non-career politician in the future. That may very well backfire, when some of those more deeply entrenched find themselves out of office and wondering how it could possibly have happened.

In the end, they may find it doesn’t pay to insult or defy the voters.

They want to get him, any way they can.
That was true prior to the elections. Stiffing workers, 6 bankruptcies, 2 divorces, Trump University, racist comments about a judge, 80 some charges of fraud and racketeering, Stormy Daniels, and whatever comes out of the tax investigations. 37 of his accomplices were indicted and most of the crimes were committed before he was elected.

I am quite satisfied that the Supreme Court ruled against him. 9-0 I believe. Take that to the second term.

. But the Dems could have done that in the secret House hearings and didn’t.
What good would that have done? The public already was in the majority regarding the immediate expulsion of Trump from office.

It’s kind of amusing to see the incessant attacks against Trump. Any Repub would be subject to the same, because it’s about power and abortion, and those things are not likely to change.

I can see use in future comment if Biden wins or whoever the next Dem President is.

correct?

Right on. Llet’s remember that the process was two-fold. The actions in the House were the equivalent of the discovery phase performed by the investigators (or the police). Unfortunately Barr was in the position to disallow the most relevant process of the investigation. Nevertheless, when the discovery phase was concluded, there was sufficient evidence, so that charges were brought and the “trial” part began. At that time, the republicans in the Senate took over the role of Barr, and prevented the next part of the procedure by disallowing the proper steps to find out the truth.

And yes, they took a solemn oath to be impartial jurors/justices. Then they openly violated that oath. What else is new?

Barr did not control the secret hearings in the House. They had complete freedom to call whomever they wanted, and did. They probably knew Bolton had nothing to offer. “Sufficient evidence” was not needed because the House majority could impeach a president for saying “howdy” instead of “how do you do”. They don’t need “probable cause”, and didn’t have it. They didn’t have a single witness, not one, who could testify that they ever heard Trump make a quid quo pro demand or ever say he did.

The Repubs in the Senate took the role of jury and acquitted. The Democrats just didn’t have evidence to convict. They could do it again, and probably will right before the election. It’s totally political.

Nearly every other day if not every day.
That’s false. Also, I’d like to hear these examples.

Really, this is bitter stuff. I don’t know if that’s the majority, some poll may have said it or didn’t.

I guess back in the days of Caesar, one wasn’t too popular if they were fed to the lions or something.

Trump won’t need to pardon himself. He has run the nation well, not the disasters that some of the Democratic run cities are. Trying to turn the whole USA into that.
