I agree. I don’t know about your parish, but ours is rather soft in the homily department. There’s not much one way or another or life issues, or chastity issues. I don’t think our priest approves of sin or anything. I just think that “political correctness” has even invaded the Church universal in some parishes. It’s terribly disappointing. People wonder why the average Catholic buys off on the U.S. Democratic party stance on abortion? Or supports gay marriage? Because they truly don’t know any better. They believe those things are up for personal opinion, and not Church doctine. I was 1/2 way through RCIA before I even was told about the CCC. Weird and sad.
Yes this thread is anti-gay but for the right reason because the Church teaches truth on this matter. Homosexual acts are grave sins before God. It is not simply about rights or discrimination or hatred. The devil has confused us and enjoys that fact that many people struggle with homosexual tendencies. The person with homosexual tendencies derives pleasure from their homosexual feelings. The truth however must be followed. Remember what pleases God matters far more, far more, than what pleases a human being. that may be true but still it doesnt deny the fact that the Truth always prevail and Truth only comes from God and not man. man has no power. it may look like they do but they dont. we have seen this over and over again. just think of natural disasters.

I am not God. i can not know the mind of God. i only know what has been reviewed to us. if God wants to punish the unjust and He chooses to use water, wind and fire, so be it. it is ok with me. you and me can do nothing about it. God is just and will not let evil go unpunished. this has been proven over and over again. man is not the owner of his destiny. you have no control of what can happened to you. you can go down the street all happy thinking that everything is under control, when suddenly a car comes on teh wrong way and boomm! you are gone.
