Priest tells RH bill supporters to leave Mass

I applaud this priest for doing so.

It was not overkill, he has the authority to ask them to leave, and he used that authority. The only sad part is that Catholics left because he exercised his authority within the Church. We should all stand in support of those that do speak out against moral evils. When someone is wrong, they are wrong, and unless you tell them otherwise, they won’t get that. Sometimes it takes a slap in the face for people to realize that.

I agree with you here. People may start off as supporting the bill, but through the Holy Spirit, a homily (or several) may convince them to change their minds.

My wife is from Baguio, Philippines. I was there just last June…I have been to the Cathedral many times. I probably have seen this priest…wow…

Too bad they’re not giving such stern, powerful, brave admonishions against cohabitation, premarital sex, and homosexuality. These sins PLAGUE the Philippines. I have never seen so much cohabitation, open homosexual glorification, and out of wedlock babies as in my trips to the Philippines. My wife doesn’t even recognize her home country since it has fallen to sin so greatly. She can’t believe how sinful the media is and how the people are ok with these lifestyles. My wife’s own family is littered with it. The Philippines may be Catholic, but birth control and this priest’s concerns are just the tip of the iceberg…

I agree that your statement is true, although the Plagues that you mentioned are also rampant in other countries not only the Philippines, specially first world ones…I suggest that you travel more, and open your eyes to see where they really are. No offense intended though, I just find it unfair for you to say that these things proliferates mainly in the Philippines.

What do you mean by open homosexual glorification? Correct me if I’m wrong though with my understanding but In the Philippines, the homosexuals are accepted, the person’s, the individuals as children of God, but the act is condemned by Filipinos. “Hate the sin, not the Sinner…” That is the practice that they do, true that some supports this and some doesn’t but that does not mean that the Philippines as a Catholic Nation, supports “Gay Rights” and condone a homosexual lifestyle. In my point of view, the PLAGUE that the Philippines has mainly are not the sins that you mentioned but the multiplicity of LAX, Indifferent and Lukewarm Catholics that allows these evil to flourish.
