Well here we have to be careful to who writes those articles.
First … they are not the original report. They were translated from French to English (which is fine) but several aspect of the discussions were (voluntary ? ) omitted. the report on the link above is from someone who is known to have issues with Abbé Gravel . I wish that those organization would have the intellectual decency to reproduce the news in a neutral fashion.
The best way is to look at the original text he wrote or the things he said during the interview.
Abbé Gravel defending the Davinci code ??? seriously now …
Although I can say that this is true …
Who hasn’t done something wrong in his life and decided that they need to change ? Abbé Gravel found God … I think it’s a pretty nice and humble of him … a true message of christ who accepts everyone. As for the ‘‘no real spiritual conversion’’ this is obviously wrong … I
have never seen anyone who doesn’t grow in the faith of our Lord while becoming a priest … and if he was so ‘‘out of touch’’ as the writer says I believe that his superior wouldn’t let him become a priest. (vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__PW.HTM)
Well we all know this is not true … so it shows some aspect of the writer who just tries to discredit someone without clear analytical arguments.
