This is the true test of the Christian Faith.
I am curious what your goal/motive might be, coming to a Catholic forum to administer “tests” on the Christian faith. What do you hope to accomplish?

If you don’t want to take a break from CAF, maybe you can consider a visit to the Catholic Living section. There are not doctrinal debates over there, and you might find your Spirit, which seems to be in need of fellowship, better fed there?

Non-Catholic religions section is for comparing and contrasting differences.

I believe all Christians regardless of being Catholic or Protestant tend to move away from the centrality of Christ on our spiritual journey. Therefore, we need to remind each other daily and to ourselves about our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. I am here to fellowship with Christians regardless of our religious affiliations, and to help each other to grow in our love and affection for our great Triune God. Growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ requires comparing and contrasting our differences to the glory of God alone. Why are you here?

Here is a very basic question for the Christian, regardless of being Catholic or Protestant.

Why do you love the Lord Jesus Christ?
I love the Lord Jesus Christ because He is my savior, my Father, my Brother, my Salvation…my everything. I love Him because without Him nothing else matters!!! Not my job, not my marriage, my kids…nothing! Money has no value without Him, life has no meaning without Him.

He is the Alpha and the Omega; He is the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Word made Flesh. People ask me how I am doing, my response is most often, “if I were to do any better I would have to be dead!” I feel His presence, I long for the day that I see Him face to glorious face! He is here with me; I know this, but I truly long for His touch!

Until that day when I see Him at my passing, I see Him and receive Him in the Eucharist. I long for Him in the Eucharist just as I long for His touch! I kneel before Him in adoration and cry in happiness because He is so near. I pray for Him to take me home, and He tells me I am home, in His Church! He asks me, Gary do you love me, I say Lord you know that I do, Feed my sheep He says!

I love my Church because He is the head of my Church, we are His body. They cannot be separated!!!

Do you have an answer for me and ewok?

I love the church in whom Christ died for!

Then why do you put this false dichotomy between the CC and God? What makes you think Catholics, do you not feel the same?

Shannon and I’s question in page 5:
If Christ’s dying, rising and return isn’t the central point of Christianity, what is? And if you don’t mind, it has to come directly from the Bible.

Please tell me why you love the Lord Jesus Christ!

Christ has died
Christ is risen
Christ will come again.

What else do you need? I find Adam’s thread quite comical now because it seems to be like Guan said. He’ll start a thread and get railed by Catholics, not answer any questions they ask, then start a new thread. Maybe he’ll answer some of our questions on this thread.
Christ has died, Christ is risen, and Christ will come again isn’t the centrality of Christianity? Adam, it is loving to cut the Head from the Body? Is it loving to presume to know your Catholics relationship with Jesus?
Which of the three posts above seem to bring the most glory to God?

Hallelujah! That is a wonderful answer!

I have a similar one =]

I love the Lord Jesus Christ because He truly changed my entire life. Before, I sold drugs and focused on Money, Respect, Power and selfish indulgences. God brought me to my end and showed me I am nothing without Him. I had 3 felonies on my record and He provided a way of escape to clean my record and keep me from being incarcerated! After believing and following Gods truth, I struggled with tormenting thoughts from the enemy and cried out to God in desperate need. I then experienced the supernatural touch of God and it changed me forever, He showed me I was His child and no one could snatch me from His hand.

He also chastened me when I fell out of sync with His will for my life and showed me that I would never be happy unless I chase after the things He wants. I thank Him so much for not letting me do things my way, for if I had continued in that lifestyle it surely would have ended in death. God is so amazing and I can never thank Him enough, my passion for Him is blazing and I want to give my life for His purposes.

I could never have this desire without God Himself being so gracious, merciful and loving towards me. Words cannot explain how unworthy I am and how truly worthy He is! We all have such a blessed opportunity to be in His presence and experience Him right here and right now! My prayer is that God would help me to bring Him the most glory I can in this earthly vessel, even if that means laying down my life for another. As hard as life seems sometimes, it is nothing compared to the gift we have in Jesus Christ. May this truth and reality sink deep into our soul and spirit and change us continually! We have a purpose here in life, and its all in the Glory of the Triune God. Let us use our lives for our purpose and know that none of it is in vain no matter what hardship we must endure. God bless everyone who is reading this and seeking to grow in their relationship with the Lord. We can never pray enough for God to increase our desire and passion to know Him more so that we might bring Him Glory.

Glory be to God forever and ever. :extrahappy::harp:❤️

Yes, Adam, that’s our question. Could you please answer it for us?

You seem to think that God is most glorified by what we say about Him. I think He is most glorified by what we do for Him. Even the demons called Him the Holy One of God in Luke chapter 4.

I tend to think that God is most glorified by what He has done in us, not what he says about us. In return it is what we now do with what He has done that glorifies Him. See Matthew 25.

Have you heard the infamous term of “Cold Calvinism”?

I have a new term called “Cold Catholicism”… 😃
