It is still fake news . . .
This is not a conclusion, but a statement of opinion in the first paragraph of my note. It is not “fallacious argumentation” but common practice. It is like a spelling bee, where you say the word first, then spell it, then repeat the word. The spelling is like a debate’s argument, the repetition of the word is the conclusion. But the first statement of my position is not a conclusion, so it is not “fallacious argumentation.”
It basically says “We label this a “right wing” group. Therefore their report has just gotta be wrong!”
I do not see anything remotely similar to this statement. We are agreed PV is a right wing group, aren’t we? There is a link @ rightwing to support that identification.

.
The wiki post was actually FAKE.

This is ipse dixit. It is a conclusion based on your erroneous reading that the article says right wing means wrong. it is framed as an accusation, wile my use of “fake news” was a clarification that it was not the same use of the concept from our earlier discussion.
They call ANY editing “deceptive”.
I ctied the Wikipedia description to show that PV has a reputation for deceptively editing videos, audiotapes, etc. it does not really matter if the reputation is deserved, I am just pointing out that it is their reputation.

I believe the reputation is well deserved. The California Attorney General’s report on ACORN analyzes the tapes made in California and has comments like this about the LA office:
The released recordings did not include all Giles’ statements regarding The released recordings did not include all Giles’ statements regarding the abusive pimp, her tragic life, and fear for the underage girls, or Stewart’s statements that ACORN could not help. abusive pimp, her tragic life, and fear for the underage girls, or Stewart’s statements that ACORN could not help.
Tapes were edited by someone who admitted seeking to damage ACORN and they exclude exculpatory remarks by ACORN employees. That sounds like deceptive editing to me, but maybe you have a different idea of what is deceptive?

I am not the person to teach you what ipse dixit means or other fine points of debating, so I am going to stop here despite the errors in the rest of your note.

O’Keefe’s an interesting guy. I don’t see him as any “less responsible” than 90 percent of the journalists working for MSM. In fact, he’s probably more skilled and motivated than most of them.
When O’Keefe was sued over ACORN, he apparently stated that his intent was to “damage ACORN” and not to provide objective style news reporting. So he may be more motivated, but it is for different ends than journalists. (why else would he make that distinction?) Apples to oranges comparison.

Saw another voter fraud area of concern for many this morning. Sounds like authorities are aware of the possibility and are looking it. It will be something to keep an eye on.

Biden’s Texas Political Director Implicated in Massive Mail-In Ballot Harvesting Scheme in Harris County

excerpt:

A Biden Campaign operative in Texas is attempting to rig the 2020 election with the help of others in a massive ballot harvesting scheme, according to two private investigators who testified under oath that they have “video evidence, documentation and witnesses” to prove it. With the help of mass mail-in ballots, the illegal ballot harvesting operation could harvest 700,000 ballots, one Harris County Democrat operative allegedly bragged.

The investigators—a former FBI agent and former police officer—claim that Biden’s Texas Political Director Dallas Jones and his cohorts have been “hoarding mail-in and absentee ballots” and ordering operatives to them fill out for people in Harris County illegally, “including dead people, homeless people, and nursing home residents in the 2020 presidential election,” Patrick Howley of the National File reported.

While law enforcement agencies are reportedly investigating these potential crimes, nothing will be done about it until “well after the November 3, 2020 election” the former FBI agent said.

Dallas Jones was appointed the Biden campaign’s Texas Political Director in late August…

Good job conflating absentee voting with mail-in voting.

The first requires a request, and in some states a reason for the ballot.
It really depends on the state. In my state, you always needed a request and you still need a request now. They’re not just going to mail out a mail-in ballot to everybody, you need to request it and enter all your info.

Also in my state you never needed to give a reason for an absentee ballot. I have been getting them for a number of years. The last couple elections they allow you to just download a ballot from online, they don’t even have to mail you one. Like I said on another thread, I’ve been voting absentee in almost every election for quite a few years because with my travel and work schedule it was just easier.

They just recently changed the name of “absentee ballot” to “mail-in ballot” but essentially the process is the same.

I realize in other states there may be a difference, but your description does not apply everywhere.
All I am saying is please don’t confuse the two.
In my state there is zero difference other than the name change.

To the readers, read the entire wiki article

Project Veritas is an American right-wing activist group founded by James O’Keefe
The group uses undercover techniques to reveal supposed liberal bias and corruption and is known for producing deceptively edited videos about media organizations and left-leaning. In a 2018 book on propaganda and disinformation in U.S. politics, three Harvard University scholars refer to Project Veritas as a “right-wing disinformation outfit

After months of insisting there is nothing to see here so move along and preferably far, far away from this oh so tiresome trope: now we have some thick smoke here signaling a possible fire. Popping up in several different jurisdictions. But we continue to get told there is nothing to see. 🤫

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, could be a conspiracy here, one in which we’re taken for gullible fools.

Wikipedia is itself proven to be an untrustworthy site when it comes to political matters. You need another source.

In your state, you still need to request a ballot. What was on offer earlier in the election cycle was mail-in voting due to corona virus, which would lead to ballots being mailed to all registered voters.

Yeah, we can rename everything everything else, but then no one knows what anyone is talking about.

Voting by mail with a ballot one has requested is different from states mailing out ballots generally, and the latter is open to manipulation.

They’re all just isolated incidents. Lots and lots of completely unconnected, isolated incidents…

I think her district race was pretty close, Democratic primary. So, I would now, look at those results cautiously.

I worked in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood among other areas during my time in the Twin Cities. Most Somalians who came to the US settled there, but they’re still a minority in the congressional district that includes that neighborhood. I found that most Somalians keep to themselves but there are some definite bad apples and other Minnesotans are less happy with them than they used to be. This is one of the reasons why Democrats have less of a grip on the state than they used to.

Obama captured MN by 298k votes in 2008 and 225k votes in 2012. But Hillary only won MN by 45k votes in 2016. Definite trend that shows Trump has a good chance of taking MN this year. So no one should be surprised that MN is a target state for cheating. I’m only surprised they were caught.

Newsguard rating.

Just imagine, Trump supporters did this.

Criticizing Project Veritas does not take away from what we can see for ourselves in the live video.
