It will happen and churches will eventually be forced by law to marry gays. That, of course, will force the RCC underground, going back to the days of the catacombs. What goes around comes around.
Watch and see.

Loving v Virginia found that marriage is a basic right. However, I found this pretty ridiculous from the judge you quoted in the article: “creates an** irrational classification **on the basis of sexual orientation.”The LA Times has a reporter there. Here is her article, which looks as if it is being updated.

Marriage is a fundamental right? I guess I didn’t see that coming. The equal protection makes sense, though.
November is the last chance for the USA. If the left holds office, the USA will never be the same again. Yet, even if the right wins, the battles are enormous. Then the new Congress has to take action. I can see this being a key in the new “Contract with America”, TBH.
We had our house on the market for two years, and took it off because it wasn’t selling. During that time my husband got a great job with a GREAT Catholic company in San Diego. I feel it was a calling. Trust me, we wanted to leave, but it hasn’t worked out. And, we are still very faithful Christians.I do not understand how any faithful Christians could live there anymore. Enough is enough.
I think you are wrong. I can see tax exempt getting pulls at churches for “hate speech”. I can see schools getting very ugly. I can see folks freedom of speech being limited. There will be more…Terrible day for CA, for the country and for the world.
Mark my words, it will not be long before all Churches are legally forced to marry gays. People will argue that the 1st amendment will stop that, and I say nonsense…nothing will stop this agenda…nothing other than God.
I find it interesting that you as a Buddhist would support homosexuality.I am overjoyed!
A monumental day for civil rights. Equality won today.
Civil Rights of a minority should never be voted on and dictated by the whims of the majority. Regardless of what SCOTUS rules, one day same sex marriage will be legal in every state.
In the history of the USA the arc of Justice has always come down the side of equality, whether it be a woman’s right to vote or segregation, etc. God bless Ted Olson, he is a conservative with a conscience.
I don’t think so. SF, maybe. If prop 8 was upheld. I bet you would have seen riots in SF and LA.
Why? Because the vote of the people was knocked down? Or the fact that the government is taking more and more away from the people? If they wanted it to change, then they should have got the people to vote again. Not forced more freedoms to be taken away.I am glad to hear of this news.

He said that in the early 90s, anticipating the new milenium. It has not happened and things grow worse every day.JPII said we are going to enter a new springtime of evangelization.
I trust him.
I get a great sense of “the Left just went too far”
almost 80% voted against Obamacare in MO. I think the tide is changing.
I trust JPII![]()
No we will see polygamy back first.Oh by the way…
When do I get to marry my sister…my father…or a 12 year old boy?

**You have power that no one is telling you about. It works this way. Speaker Pelosi and Harry Reid are planning to call Congress back in session AFTER the November elections. This rare Lame Duck session will be called so they can try and pass Immigration, Cap 'N Trade, tax increases, Card Check – just to name a few. They hope the session will be a real “doozie”. You see, even if you vote your Member of Congress out of office in November, he/she still keeps the job until Jan., 2011.
**
But – there are 6 U.S. Senate seats that are different. They are the seats where appointed Senators were selected to fill vacancies like the one created when Pres. Obama won. They are CO, DE, FL, IL, NY & WVA. The state election law in each of these states (except NY) says that once the Nov. elections take place the winner of the Senate race becomes the Senator right away, and doesn’t wait until January to be sworn-in.
So – your vote on November 2 could change the next Congress, but also could effect what happens in the Lame Duck session. If you are voting in 1 of the 5 states where they currently have “Special Senate seats” you will be making history with the power of your vote. Tell your friends and family that vote in the states of Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, and West Virginia about their unique opportunity.

Because the courts have taken a stand against discrimination, fear and hatred. Why? Because the vote of the people was knocked down? Or the fact that the government is taking more and more away from the people? If they wanted it to change, then they should have got the people to vote again. Not forced more freedoms to be taken away.
If the Left wins in November, you can put a fork in the USA, because we’re done. In a way this is hard to understand, because the Left is a minority in this country. The majority of people in the USA still believe in traditional values and morals, yet we are being pummeled into submission to their values, or lack thereof, and if we dare object, we are called racist, homophobic bigots. So we just cower and let them take over.November is the last chance for the USA. If the left holds office, the USA will never be the same again. Yet, even if the right wins, the battles are enormous.
