You always reduce things to your own perception. Now answer me. Did Muhammad ever rose people from death?
** swariffin, this raising to life is not from actual physical death. It is from the spiritual death. Please show me some verses of the bible NT where a person was actually dead and Jesus brought him back to life. I do not find anything like that in bbile. There could be some cases of near dead persons who were brought to life.

Even if he did bring a physically dead man back to life, that would not be such a great miracle as if he brought a spiritually dead man to life. And we believe Jesus did bring many dead ones back to life. But the words are metaphorical.

Muhammad brought thousands of spiritually dead men to life. When he spoke to them before end of his life, there were 124,000 very honest followers listening to Muhammad.

Jesus did the same. He put new life into the morally, spiritually dead people. Please go for the moral and spiritual resrrections and not for the physical. Thanks.**

Jesus brought Lazerus back. He also raised a little girl from the dead. Paul brought a guy back. Peter brought someone back.

JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD HIMSELF.

Jesus brought Lazerus back…
Miracles were performed by the will & power of God . If Jesus (p) is God , it’s better to compare him with two other deities , not with Moses or Muhammed (pbut).

The point was raised that Jesus did not bring anyone back from the dead. That is not true.

AS to the implications, that is another topic. You cannot deny that according to the Bible, Jesus AND his followers raised the dead, cured the sick, cast out demons, and much more.

so you want to say , Jesus (p) & his followers are all God ? How many deities do u have then ?

If there is hadith that Muhammed (p) gave life to dead , we won’t start worshiping him . He was /is / will be a Prophet of God to the believers.

Jesus is called a prophet in the Bible as well. Your point doesn’t have legs to stand on since Jesus is 100% man as well, the Word of God in flesh, having the divine nature in addition to a human nature, one not negating the other.
It is time you start giving some interesting similarities, like the 30 ones presented on this thread, rather than beating a dead horse because by insisting that Jesus is only God to us and not a human, you are repeating a heresy the church refuted long time ago.

Before the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls it was suggested that ‘raising from the dead’ was a later Roman invention when attributed to the ‘son of God’.

With the discovery of the Jewish Dead Sea Scrolls which were 100 years before Jesus on earth we can sea that the ‘Son of God’ who raises people from death as the Messiah was a very Jewish concept.

Ralph, please give full references about Lazerus and the girl from the bible NT. Do not give just one line reference. Post a few lines extra either side. And forget about Paul. he is not in our books. Thanks.

I am sure that Jesus raised the dead to life spiritually and he healed the sick spiritually. Spiritual healing and awakening is a greater miracle than the physical raising to life.

The physical raising to life has no proof and lasting effect. It is all untrue. But even if admitted, then the person brought to life physically will eventually die in the end sometime. So what use is that to any one or to that person??? Please understand. Jesus put new life into the dead people and gave them a new spirit.

That is what Muhammad did and so did all the prophets of Allah.

Sorry Muslim Woman, we, Christian believe in One God only. So, no point of comparing God against other God. Polytheism is only your accusation.

If I qoute the Bible, you will say the bible is corrupt anyway. Beside, you can see yourself from all Matthew until John, that Jesus rose people from death. Usually you read the holy books literally. While the story of Lazarus in John, you took it otherwise. Come on, Planten, be consistent to yourself. It is clear that you have not read the bible entirely.

Other prophets of Allah such as Elisha and also Peter rose people from death. Muhammad can’t.

Paul encounter with Jesus was WITNESSED by many, while Muhammad encounter with the angel Jibril HAD NO WITNESS WHATSOEVER. And yet, you believe in Muhammad. You are living in your own world, Planten.

swariffin, please do not derail the topic. Show the verses if you can otherwise understand that Jesus did not raise any one to life physically.

Passage John 11 :

17Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb(Q) four days. 18Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles[c] off, 19and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary(R) to console them concerning their brother. 20(S) So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house. 21Martha said to(T) Jesus, “Lord,(U) if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22But even now I know that whatever you ask from God,(V) God will give you.” 23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24(W) Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in(X) the resurrection on the last day.” 25Jesus said to her, (Y) “I am the resurrection and(Z) the life.[d] Whoever believes in me,(AA) though he die,(AB) yet shall he live, 26and everyone who lives and believes in me(AC) shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27She said to him, “Yes, Lord;(AD) I believe that(AE) you are the Christ, the Son of God,(AF) who is coming into the world.”

Code:
28When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private,(AG) "The Teacher is here and is calling for you." 29And when she heard it, she rose quickly and went to him. 30Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha had met him. 31When the Jews(AH) who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary rise quickly and go out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there. 32Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him,(AI) "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." 33When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he(AJ) was deeply moved in his spirit and(AK) greatly troubled. 34And he said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to him, "Lord, come and see." 35(AL) Jesus wept. 36So the Jews said, "See(AM) how he loved him!" 37But some of them said, "Could not he(AN) who opened the eyes of the blind man(AO) also have kept this man from dying?"
Jesus Raises Lazarus
Code:
38Then Jesus,(AP) deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was(AQ) a cave, and(AR) a stone lay against it. 39Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, "Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for(AS) he has been dead four days." 40Jesus said to her, (AT) "Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see(AU) the glory of God?" 41So they took away the stone. And Jesus(AV) lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42(AW) I knew that you always hear me, but I said this(AX) on account of the people standing around,(AY) that they may believe that you sent me." 43When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out." 44(AZ) The man who had died came out,(BA) his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and(BB) his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."
Any comment Planten?

Thanks Wina. I am at the office, and I am about to open my bible. OK now Planten. Somebody has done my homework for me. Now, Jesus, Elisha, Peter, Paul (substract Paul if you don’t want him) rose people from death.

Moses at the will of God struck a rock and water came out of it. Moses has separated the red sea for the israellite to cross.

What miracle that Muhammad ever did?

Since it is clear that your question has been answered, now answer my question. If Paul encounter with Jesus was WITNESSED by many while Muhammad encounter with the angel Jibril HAD NO WITNESS WHATSOEVER, why do you believe Muhammad more? In that case, if Ghulam Ahmad (founder of Ahmadiyaa) ever claim to be the Messiah, and had no witness, why don’t you believe him?

** Not so quick, swariffin. Wina has done something. I will reply. But is there only this one case of a supposed dead person in the bible? You had said there are a few cases, and what about the girl?

I am thankful to Wina who has presented the full story. Let there be more of such things. I still believe that Jesus cured and raised the spiritually sick and dead people.**

Salaam/peace
… Muhammad encounter with the angel Jibril HAD NO WITNESS WHATSOEVER,
Muhammed (p) performed many miracles in front of many people. Muslims don’t give much importance on these as all were done by the power of God only. No Prophet (p) had his own power.

While Jews were asking for miracles , your lord scolded them as evil .
if Ghulam Ahmad (founder of Ahmadiyaa) ever claim to be the Messiah, and had no witness, why don’t you believe him?
Jesus (p) is the Messiah . He will kill anti Christ (p) , will break crosses before the end time , will be buried beside Prophet Muhammed (p) . See how Muslims respect Jesus (p) . We won’t accept any other as Messiah 🙂

QURAN, The Miracle of Miracles

by late Ahmed Deedat

…they asked that he - Muhammad (pbuh) - ‘Put a ladder up to heaven an bring down a book from God in their very sight’ - “Then we would believe,” they said. Or "ye see the mountain yonder, turn it into gold’ - “then we would believe.” or ‘make streams to gush out in the desert’ - “then we would believe.”

Now listen to the soft, sweet reasoning of Muhammad (pbuh) against the unreasonable and sceptical demands of the mushriks
  • “Do I say to you, verily I am an angel? Do I say to you, verily in my hands are the treasures of God? Only, what is revealed to me do I follow.” Listen further to the most dignified reply he is commanded by his Lord to give the unbelievers.
Say (O Muhammad): ‘The signs (miracles) are indeed with Allah: And most certainly I am only a clear warner.!’

In the following ayah the holy prophet is made to point to the holy Quran itself as an answer to their hypocritical demand for some special kind of 'sign' of 'miracle' for which their foolish pagan mentality craved. For indeed all miracles are 'signs'; and it is their disbelief, their scepticism, their lack of faith which motivates their request for a sign. They are asked to - 'look at the Quran’ and again, ‘look at the Qur`an!’

It is not enough for them that we have sent down to thee (O Muhammad) the book(al-Quran) which is rehearsed to them? Verily, in it (this perspicuous book) is a mercy and reminder to those who believe. (Quran 29:51).
