I don’t think we should quarrel about which of the two - Bahuallah or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a greater Prophet, or was a Prophet at all.
Both can’t be right.
I am confused. We can not have two Prophets after Muhammad? Actually, I think there are still more to come.

I think you have asked me this before. As I said before, I don’t need to prove this to you, since over a billion people on this planet believe this - you should ask them why.
I do not “know” that Jesus Is God-Incarnate but I believe that He Is.

One of the reasons that I believe that Jesus Is God-Incarnate is that when I met the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that the Catholic Eucharist Is Jesus.

Since I “know” that the Catholic Eucharist Is Jesus, it just stands to reason that Jesus Is God-Incarnate.

I am not sure how you met the Holy Spirit, but congratulations on the encounter.

However, I just said that a billion people believe that Jesus is the Son of God, obviously they can not really ‘know’ this.

Please stay on topic - communism was enforced not a free choice at all.

Numbers of followers do indicate the truth of the belief system. The average human is not some fool to just follow strange beliefs. What millions/billions feel in their heart is more important than so called evidence.
How about the so called evidence of the geocentric universe? The ENTIRE scientific community believed that. THEY WERE WRONG!

What about that the entire scientific community believed that the universe was static? Thank God for Edwin Hubble, because everyone but a small number were WRONG 🙂

What about that the entire scientific community believed that there was no such thing as “continental movements”…??

In the 1800’s nearly all scientists, including LORD Kelvin, believed that the earth was many thousands of years old, nothing more. Along came Charles Lyell, and proved Lord Kelvin and millions of his buddies WRONG…

Numbers indicate nothing my friend.

It takes a Charles Lyell, a Gallileo, a Edwin Hubble, and a Baha’u’llah to prove falsehoods.
The disbelief of a different sect can be discounted - it just come from pride and loyalty to their own.
If a billion people follow someone of their own freewill and believe him to be Prophet it counts far more than seven million.
The disbelief of a different sect is CRITICAL…

If it wasn’t for the disbelief of Alfred Wegener, we would still believe in a static continents theory and millions and millions would be still dying in earthquakes.

I still cannot understand why you think Truth is dictated by numbers.

It belies reason and rationale…

🙂

You really believe that Christianity was not forced upon other people during Emperor Constantine’s reign?

People are not psychologically “locked in” to Christianity so they can uphold family tradition?

.

i see the Father’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven all of the time.

i see the Father’s kingdom reigning over the hearts of men all of the time.

God’s kingdom is only available to mankind through Jesus Christ.

God’s will is done only when people follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

RCs do not believe Jesus desired to or attempted to create a utopia. that is a bahai belief.

Jesus did and said nothing that would indicate He intended His kingdom to be of this world.
"Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this."

Is there a government in your heart Eddie?

Is there time in the Kingdom? I thought the Kingdom was timeless?

God bless you brother 🙂

I did not say that the Church did not make any mistakes. I said Jesus, a Son of God did not make any mistakes. The Church was wrong about the earth then and is still making mistakes on doctrine today very similar to the Bahai Faith.

Truth is not dictated by numbers - vast numbers just demonstrate the Truth.

the government in my heart is that of a loyal subject of Christ the King.

while there is no time in heaven, the kingdom of God can exist in this world in the heart’s of those who repent their sins, seek forgiveness and place their trust in Jesus. for those believers, the kingdom of God does exist in earthly time.

We are talking about over a billion Christians with freewill today and something about communism in the 70s - nobody is locked into anything today. If something is obviously flawed people will give it up.

Firstly, you still have not advised me what is the mistakes Baha’u’llah made?

Again, vast numbers believed that the earth was 6000 years old. Did that “demonstrate” (to use your words) truth?

Dear friend, it is clear that the numbers game is a fallacy…

🙂

Thankyou Eddie 🙂

We Bahai’s are often accused of “twisting” meanings to interpret what seems to be very clear verses of the Bible 🙂

I beg you to pray on the meaning of this verse and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. The “inner” deep voice within you after prayer is the truth 🙂

bahaullah’s mistake was in not learning more about Jesus Christ before deciding that he, bahaullah, was Jesus’ equal or superior.

servant, what verse am i supposed to study and pray about?

What do we “know” as historical FACT about Jesus that Baha’u’llah proved He didn’t know?

God bless you brother. It’s this verse:

“Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.”

bahaullah did not know that Jesus rose His physical body from the tomb.

bahaullah did not know that Jesus was the Alpha and Omega of the history of mankind.

bahaullah did not know that Jesus Himself ensured His Church would remain faithful to Him.

bahaullah did not know that the Holy Spirit in this world indwells only in the RCC.

bahaullah did not know that the Eucharist is the Real Presence of the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ.

bahaullah did not know that the successor to Peter is infallible when speaking infallibly on topics of faith and morals.

the list goes on and on.

Vast numbers of people do not believe the earth is 6000 years old today. If possible can you just stick to the post WWII periods?

I already told you Bahaullah’s mistakes:

Bahaullah said Muhammad and the Koran supercede the Christ and New Testament. Have you read the description of Paradise in the Koran - what childishness is that?

Also Bahaullah does not understand the Trinity and the biggest mistake is imagining himself to be the ‘Father’.

For other mistakes, read Meher Baba books and compare them to Bahaullah’s tablets.

I’m quite happy to leave you open mind. This discussion is going nowhere, especially since you can’t understand that with the 6000 year old earth point, I was referring to “at that time” not now…its okay… 🙂

Also please back up where Baha’u’llah says something when you assume He says something. I don’t think Baha’u’llah has ever said “supersede” …again, it’s okay 🙂

“Paradise” in the Koran:
Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring: and angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation):
“Peace unto you for that ye persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!”
—Qur’an, sura 13 (al-Ra‘d), ayat 23-24[3]
A Garden? Thats childish?

Anyway, I leave you be brother 🙂

Thanks very much - please do read Meher Baba (“God Speaks” is a good book - not everything is correct, but more correct than others).

He was a Prophet too (just to stay on topic).

Thank you brother. I will look deeper into Meher Baba.

Did he start a religion? If so what’s it called?

.

I don’t think he started any religion. He was just a Sufi Prophet with followers.
My friend, this is the difference between minor Prophets like Isaiah, Daniel, Guru Nanak, and maybe Meher Baba, Ghulam Ahmad etc, and major Prophets like Moses, Jesus, Muhammad and Bahaullah.

The minor prophets derive their inspiration FROM the Major Prophets. They are like the moon, as is mentioned in the Bahai Writings. Major Prophets are like the Sun.

Major Prophets derive their inspiration direct from God and it is for this reason that their religions become globally adhered to religions. Minor prophets may well get a following but they often remain localised to regions and cultures.

The Major Prophets inspire millions from all cultures and cause the diverse peoples of the world to see God in their Revelations and live in unity.

Yes, over time disunity develops as seen in Judaism, Christianity and Islam but this has been removed in Baha’u’llahs Religion.

🙂
