Of course you are. We all are grateful for His Mercy and Grace.
Let me ask you this: Should the Jews of the OT be grateful to Moses for leading them out of slavery? He was doing what God told him to do, but he still had the courage to obey God.
Should we be grateful to Moses for writing those books in the Old Testament?
If the answer is yes to either of these, then surely, you can see that whatever merit these two actions on the part of Moses brought, then it was infinitely small to the merit that was brought to us through the humility and obedience of our sweet, pious, spiritual mother.
I love Mary so very much, and I wish I could impart that to those who see her as less than what she is. If there is one person (besides Jesus Christ) in this world who deserves our thanks, it is Mary.
The next time you pay honor or tribute to any other individual, please compare what they bring you in comparison to her. Before we praise any person, let us first look to Christ; but after Him … Mary.
