The only thing in that entire passage that even came close to supporting your arguement was “a high degree of Glory,” which still doesn’t say, “You will be on a higher level of Heaven, and better than others that are there.”

It means that you will be called out by the Blessed Mother, which is a wonderful boon, but not quite like getting a prime condo on the beach next to Jesus’s own mansion . . .
A True Letter Of Our Savior Jesus Christ
Consecrating the Drops of Blood which Our Lord Jesus lost on His way to Calvary.

Copy of a letter of the Oration found in the Holy Sepulchre of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, preserved in a silver box by His Holiness and by the Emporers and Empresses of the Christian Faith.

St. Elizabeth, Queen of Hungary, with St. Matilda and St. Bridget, wishing to know something of the Passion of Jesus Christ, offered fervent and special prayers, upon which there appeared to them Our Lord Jesus Christ who spoke to them in the following manner:

I descended from Heaven to the Earth in order to convert you.

In olden times, people were religious, and their harvests were abundant; at present, on the contrary, they are scanty.

If you want to reap an abundant harvest you must not work on Sunday, for Sunday you must go to Church and pray to God to forgive your sins. He gave you six days in which to work and one for rest and devotion and to tender your help to the poor and assist the Church.

Those people who brawl against My Religion and cast slurs on this Sacred Letter will be forsaken by Me.

On the contrary, those people who shall carry a copy of this letter with them shall be free from death by drowning and from sudden death. They shall be free from all contagious diseases and lightning; they shall not die without confession, and shall be free from their enemies and from the hand of wrongful authority, and from all their slanderers and false witnesses.

Women in peril at child-birth will, by keeping this Oration about them, immediately overcome the difficulty. In the houses where this Oration is kept, no evil thing will ever happen: and forty days before the death of a person who has this Oration about him or her, the Blessed Virgin will appear to him or her. So said St. Gregorious.

To all those faithful who shall recite for three years, each day, 2 Paters, Glorias, and Aves, in honor of the drops of blood I lost, I will concede the following five graces:

1st The plenary indulgence and remission of your sins.
2nd You will be free from the pains of Purgatory.
3rd If you should die before completing the said 3 years, for you it will be the same as if you had completed them.
4th It will be upon your death the same as if you had shed all your blood for the Holy Faith.
5th I will descend from Heaven to take your soul and that of your relatives, until the fourth generation.

Be it known that the number of armed soldiers were 150; those who trailed me while I was bound were 23. The number of executioners of justice were 83; the blows received on my head were 150; those on my stomach, 108; kicks on my shoulders, 80. I was led, bound with cords by the hair, 24 times; spits in the face were 180; I was beaten on the body 6666 times; beaten on the head, 110 times. I was roughly pushed, and at 12 o’clock was lifted up by the hair; pricked with thorns and pulled by the beard 23 times; received 20 wounds on the head; thorns of marine junks, 72; pricks of thorns in the head, 110; mortal thorns in the forhead, 3. I was afterwards flogged and dressed as a mocked king; wounds in the body, 1000. The soldiers who led me to the Calvary were 608; those who watched me were 3, and those who mocked me were 1008; the drops of blood which I lost were 28,430.

Who Believes this is True:

The Fifteen Promises of Mary to Christians Who
Recite the Rosary:
  1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
I am sorry but the only ONE I serve is GOD. *shudder… scary
  1. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
Mary can protect you? Again… *shudder… scary
3.The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
My goodness… is there ANYTHING about this that isn’t going to make me fear a lightning bolt coming down from the Heavens?
4.It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
Only God can do this… not the rosary
  1. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
These are supposed promises from Mary right? *singinbeauty covers her head and prepares to run all the while keeping her gaze out for the lightning bolts…
  1. Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life
All because of Mary???
  1. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
Devotion to GOD is more powerful and more important…
  1. Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
Somehow I don’t think that Mary can promise this…
  1. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary.
Mary now delivers us from death? YIKES
  1. The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
I wanna cry…
  1. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
And again… *shudder
  1. All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
Only God can provide…
  1. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestal court during their life and at the hour of death.
All I need is GOD
  1. All who recite the rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ.
Seeing as I am not a dude… 😉 I am a child of God already…
  1. Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination.
Not exactly sure what this one means but … Hmmmm

Who else wanted to run and hide… This list makes me shudder in fear of God’s wrath… 😦

Techo2000, these things that have been posted are approved private revelation, but since they are private revelation, they do not have to be believed or followed by Catholics. It is probably serving no purpose except to confuse our Protestant brothers and sisters, since most Catholics do not even follow this stuff.

Yes I Know, but I’m being accused of something I’m not, and I’m
showing everybody where my ideas come from.

Perhaps you should have posted this in the Spirituality forum, since it really has nothing to do with Protestant beliefs.

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most mysterious and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in heaven, on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar.

This prayer was revealed by Our Lard to a Carmelite Nun of Tours in 1843 as a reparation for blasphemy.

“This Golden Arrow will wound My Heart delightfully,” He said, “and heal the wounds inflicted by blasphemy.”

Sincere Act of
Contrition
CHAPLET of ST. MICHAEL
Saint Michael appearing one day to Antonia d’ Astonac, a most devout Servant of God, told her that he wished to be honored by nine salutations corresponding to the nine Choirs of Angels, which should consist of one Our Father and three Hail Marys in honor of each of the angelic choirs.

Promises of St. Michael
Whosoever would practice this devotion in his honor would have, when approaching the Holy Table, an escort of nine angels chosen from each one of the nine choirs. In addition, for the daily recital of these nine salutations he promised his continual assistance and that of all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from purgatory for themselves and their relations.

Method of Reciting the Chaplet
The chaplet is begun by saying the following invocation on the medal:
Code:
O God, come to my assistance.
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, etc.
Following the arrow on the diagram 1-9, say one Our Father and three Hail Marys after each of the following nine salutations in honor of the nine choirs of angels.

1

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Seraphim, may the Lord make us worthy to burn with the fire of perfect charity. Amen.

2

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Cherubim, may the Lord vouchsafe to grant us grace to leave the ways of wickedness to run in the paths of Christian perfection. Amen.

3

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Thrones, may the Lord infuse into our hearts a true and sincere spirit of humility. Amen.

4

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Dominions, may the Lord give us grace to govern our senses and subdue our unruly passions. Amen.

5

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Powers, may the Lord vouchsafe to protect our souls against the snares and temptations of the devil. Amen.

6

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Virtues may the Lord preserve us from evil and suffer us not to fall into temptation. Amen.

7

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Principalities, may God fill our souls with a true spirit of obedience. Amen.

8

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Archangels, may the Lord give us perseverance in faith and in all good works, in order that we gain the glory of Paradise. Amen.

9

By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Angels, may the Lord grant us to be protected by them in this mortal life and conducted hereafter to eternal glory. Amen.

Following the arrow on the diagram, 10-13, say one Our Father in honor of each of the following leading angels:
10 St. Michael; 11 St. Gabriel; 12 St. Raphael; 13 our Guardian Angel.

The chaplet is concluded with the following prayers:

O glorious Prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King, and our admirable conductor, thou who dost shine with excellence and superhuman virtue, vouchsafe to deliver us from all evil, who turn to thee with confidence, and enable us by thy gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day.

V. Pray for us, O glorious St. Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ.
R. That we may be made worthy of His promises.

PRAYER
Almighty and Everlasting God, who by a prodigy of goodness and a merciful desire for the salvation of all men, hast appointed the most glorious Archangel, St. Michael, Prince of Thy Church, make us worthy, we beseech Thee, to be delivered from all our enemies that none of them may harass us at the hour of death, but that we may be conducted, by him into the august presence of Thy Divine Majesty. This we beg through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

As I was pondering the ‘levels of Heaven’ last night and this morning (as this is a new concept to me) it struck me as something that I don’t know I can fully believe. To me, belief that those who are ‘better’ christians than others get more in the afterlife strikes me as a bit materialistic. Jesus told the thief ‘you will be in paradise with me today’. He didn’t say you will be on level three of Heaven because of your unbelief until now. I just can’t wrap my head around this thinking. Not saying it isn’t true… it’s just going to take some time to believe it if I can. I don’t think that one christian is better than another. We are all human and sinful and the fact that God has given His awesome grace to allow us softened hearts to hear His voice is the best and greatest reward I can think of. Heaven is for eternity and I think that if we cross the finish line as christians who desire to follow Him with all of our hearts that is all the counts. This ‘I am a better christian than you so I get more in Heaven’ is SO materialistic…🤷

It is probably hard for you because you are thinking in human ways. We really dont know what it all means because God probably knew we wouldnt understand it so He didnt elaborate in the bible.
I dont think one christian is necessarily better then the other more mature in their walk maybe. It may be how much God sees that we trust Him or what we do we do in His name and not ours. That may be what we are rewarded for.👍 🤷

SinginBeauty, please don’t get the idea that Catholicism is about the 15 promises of Mary.

You know that there are some pretty weird ideas in Protestantism, too.

My husband and I just saw another one of those ads for a special “prayer handkerchief” that will bring about your healing. Those ads are all over on TV and even in mainstream evangelical magazines.

My mother knew of a verse in the Bible that was guaranteed to stop bleeding. (She was a Baptist.)

You heard of snake handling and poison drinking. And getting “slain in the Spirit.”

I know Protestants who considered their daily Quiet Time a “talisman.” If they didn’t have it, the whole day would go bad for them.

It’s not fair of someone to judge all of Protestant by the off-the-wallers. Same for Catholicism.

You get what you Deserve in Heaven.
that is just so wrong
grace is by definition unmerited
if we got our just deserts we would all be going to hell - it is only by God’s mercy that we may enter heaven

I just wonder how many Protestants you expect to convert with that attitude!
:amen: to that!

As a former protestant, its a BIG :tsktsk: .

Learn from John Paul II, he’s the “Master of Ecumenism” as we know it! I love that man! 😃

Take C. S. Lewis for example. Protestant, yes, but he’s going to be far higher up in “the ranks” than you or me. 😉

Remember the words of Jesus, “If they are not against us, then, they are for us.” 👍

Quite frankly, I’m just hoping that someone will distract St Peter long enough that I can sneak in under the fence while he isn’t looking. :o

And if I pull that off, I know an awful lot of Protestants that I expect would be at much higher “levels” if such a thing was to exist, which I don’t believe for a second. If I get a “nosebleed” seat I figure it’s still better than I deserve, not that I won’t keep trying.

:rotfl: Can I be your partner in crime? :knight2: I’ll distract, you sneak in.

Oh wait…darn!..how am I supposed to get in then? :hmmm:

I think this is the major arguement here… There is absolutely no way any of us deserves heaven on our own…

Me? I just want to be the one that Lucifer looks at and says, “You see that one? Yeah, that Notworthy guy. THAT’S the one that got away!”

Yup, and the “not worthy guy” is all of us.

I found a great pair of bolt cutters that should cut that chain if someone can come up with a smoke bomb for the distraction…
