Why are you missing the point here? No sense explaining it anymore…🤷 I support anything that is FROM MY OWN CHURCH and nothing more. Not to say he isn’t doing a good thing here. I simply AM NOT INTERESTED unless it is FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Would you refuse to work with a Pro-Life organization if it included Protestants?

Of course not. I have nothing against Protestants, even though I feel they are misled. But I simply am not interested if it dosen’t come from my church. What is wrong with that? That is me. I won’t even walk into another ‘denominational’ church. Why would I? My passion for the Catholic church is immense. In fact, because I truly love Christ so much, it gets me in trouble. When Peter cut the ear off the Roman soldier, he was defending Jesus. Although Jesus told him “Live by the sword, die by the sword”, I am kind of like Peter.
I cannot help being this way. The holy spirit compels me to evangelize the way I do because I also sometimes feel like Jeremiah. I say I won’t think of him any more, but he is at every bone in my body, every thought I have. I guess it is a yearning you can say to defend Jesus. 😦

If you aren’t interested then please stop posting.

I don’t want you to feel ganged up on but your ‘evangelizing’ turns people away and you lose the respect of those you are trying to reach…😦

No Singinbeauty, it is just the opposite when I am face to face with someone. You don’t like what I say and I don’t expect you too.
I (with the Grace of God) have brought many people to the Catholic faith being just the way I am, and many thanked me for it.

Yea, I know as a Protestant, you don’t know what I am talking about, yet I don’t expect you to have any good words for me…yet Protestants worry more what the Catholics are doing than to their own false doctrines.
Don’t act like a Catholic but behave as one??? 🤷
Righteousone

You don’t compare just to be called righteous one…you don’t hardened your heart to proclaim your love to God by dishonoring his creation. If you choose to speak selfishly…that’s your choice…DON’T ACT LIKE CATHOLIC BUT BEHAVE AS ONE…Is not a difficult statement to dissolve…😛

As a protestants, i simply do not want to waste my time thinking about what is FALSE DOCTRINES. Every believers will be judge upon their life on earth, your thoughts, words, actions…

Therefore, if you have plently of time…instant of spending time comparing your previous sect against your current faith…Do something more meaningful for God…

If you want to evangelize here, then put on the mind of Christ to evangelize…

And here it is (Catholics) - the reason why I started the whole, “are Catholics sometimes Vain?” thread. I think you can see my point now on why I felt how I did 😉

Righteousone, I mean no disrespect, but I have not seen one person, Catholic or otherwise, agree with your comments, there is no point in arguing over it really. No one (that I have seen) is buying it.

Remember, there is no salvation outside the Catholic church.
From the Catechism:
838 "The Church knows that she is joined in many ways to the baptized who are honored by the name of Christian, but do not profess the Catholic faith in its entirety or have not preserved unity or communion under the successor of Peter."322 Those "who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in a certain, although imperfect, communion with the Catholic Church."323
Also from the Catechism:
818 "However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers . . . . All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church."272
819 "Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth"273 are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: "the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements."274 Christ’s Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him,275 and are in themselves calls to "Catholic unity."276

Point well taken. My apologies… and post away.
It’s ok. I was not offended. :hug1: At this point, I do not have anything else to add to this thread. I already gave my response to the OP before this thread got derailed. 😦

In fact, because I truly love Christ so much, it gets me in trouble.
I don’t think that is what “gets you into trouble”.
I (with the Grace of God) have brought many people to the Catholic faith being just the way I am, and many thanked me for it.
That may be, but there is little evidence of that on these threads. I’m sorry and I don’t mean to sound unkind, but your written evangelization technique is sorely lacking. I am a Catholic and even I get offended by some of the things you say and the way you say them. I feel particularly sensitive about the way you speak to our brothers and sisters in non-Catholic faiths.

It’s worth taking some time to reflect on all the criticism you receive on CAF about your “style”. If I was receiving so much negative feedback (and account reivews), I would take a break and spend some time in prayer.

Well said , but to the non believers , not christ believers 😉
I urge you to listen to the wise (catholics) here for advise…being so hardened on yourself will bring you no where…pray to God about the those deep hidden resentment you have and ask him to help you deal with it…God Bless;)

Thanks, I guess, to some vain derailing posts in this thread it bumped it near the top so I got to see it.

Awesome that he is doing a protest! That day of silence irked me when I first read of it. This pastor has just the right kind of attitude and balance to protest effectively. I’ll have to tell my DHubby about it. He is from the area and a huge football fan so he will be proud that someone is standing up for Truth.

Anyone know what team the good pastor used to play for?

EDIT: Found it!
Seattle Seahawks – American Football League, Kirkland, Washington.
San Diego Chargers – National Football League, San Diego, California.
1974 - Drafted in the 4th round by the Dallas Cowboys
1973 – National Football League, Dallas, Texas.
Played the 1974 season.
From his church website. Yup, hubby will be proud. The good pastor is a former Seahawk. :yup:

No Happygal, to the Christ believers who are following false doctrine and setting up many, many denominations out there. That is NOT the church Jesus started.

Since the protest was Friday does anybody have a link to how it went?
