Just because the CC exists and is not a lie does NOT mean that every thing believed about the church or taught by the church are 100% correct.

Okay how about you ponder this.

Jesus established a Church to whom He promised the gift of the Holy Spirit to lead her into all truth.

You believe that the Bible is the word of God? But how do you really know that? For all you know, the Catholic Church made an error when they chose the books that belonged to the canon.

So really, you have only the Church’s word on this one that the Bible is indeed the word of God.

So one could reason, well when the Church came up with the Bible she was infallible.

But then the question rears its ugly head again : how do you know that? The Bible was compiled long after the apostles have gone. So we are left with only the Church’s say so. We are only left with the promise of Christ that the Holy Spirit will be sent to guide the Church into all truth.

The only way we can be certain that the Bible is inerrant is if we say that the Church that determined the canon is infallible - always. Once we take out the “always” - we admit the possibility that maybe she made an error too in coming up with the Canon of Scriptures.
