I do not believe in scripture alone.
I do know scripture and do know that Catholics mistranslate the words rock and chrch in your quote. The gates of hell has not prevailed —thanks to the reformation against Gods assembly.
The reformation did not discount all the christians that came before and were martyted before then.

A point you would rather ignore.

How about we get back to you telling us how and why the CC has strayed. Proof? There is none.
I gave you this proof.
That you do not know what the New Covenant is proof that the Catholic Church has failed to teach it to you. Why? because it has strayed.

You fail to make the distinction between individuals and church teachings.

Can you?

That is the covenant. You are strange. You say no to me, but then say this. How was what I said wrong?
A covenant is a pact. The blood symbolizes that each side of the pact under penalty of blood agrees to uphold its side of the covenant. The pact is not the blood the blood seals-yes the pact but is not the pact itself.
What New pact did God make with mankind which is called the New Covenant?

I was clear since I had a feeling where you were going with this, that Jesus Christ’s **blood sealed **the New Covenant.
I also posted, that you would likely say, that the other end of it would be that " I think he is about to spit out-

and anyone who believeth in Him shall have eternal life,"

but I am waiting for him to say that and how it fits in here…

So explain how the catholic church has not taught that believing in Christ Jesus is optional.

Since MCS7474 has yet to answer I must assume he does not know therefore It is obvious the Catholic Church has strayed from the true gosple!

A covenant is an oath.

Gods covenants say this: I love you. I am committed to you. I swear that I will never forsake you, You are mine and I am yours. I am your father, and you are my family. Now that is love

Jerimiah 31:
31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, F23 says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Hebrews 8:
8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah-- 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds F34 I will remember no more.” F35

Gasp!!! NO!! Say it is not so…!!

MCS7474 since you have failed to answer him the Church is doomed!!!

What will I do??? :crying:

Hisalone,
You wouldn’t be the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz would you? What is your motto again?

I gave a few answers, all correct but not complete. I think in order to get a good grasp he should read an good catholic book about the New covenant.

I would think you would be humbled unable to answer so basic a question. Oh well my bed time.
Perhaps if you go to a Protestant bible study you may learn a thing or two.

I think I might throw up to sound of that…

But not the way they were requested of you…

Well, seeing as how I am not yet Catholic, and have not studied much religion in the past 10 years.

Old Covenant - Old Testament Laws
New Covenant - New Testament Church (aka The Catholic Church)

The verses you posted did not condemn the catholic church in any way shape or form. In fact, I like Jeremiah a lot. He was very pro-life. Do you have a faith statement on that from your true community that “did not stray” from the gospel?

Hebrews 8:
. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. F35
then what use is there of having a church or pastor.for all know God???why did Christ say "Go to all nations …TEACHING…"since the new covent is in effect everbody knows…notice to Christ says teach them after He tell the apostles to baptise, not teach before baptism but after baptism…either Christ got it wrong or you.my money is on Christ having it right not you,Hisalone.
