“Nothing unclean shall enter heaven” I agree I’ve been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ is that not enough for you? Because it’s by far plenty for me
so he is currently in a pure and sinless state of existence?

The Roman Catholic Church has authority to do jack
well Jesus gave the authority to Peter and his successors, what’s your authority ?who are you? who gave your authority?

A pastor is appointed for all Christians Peter and his successors the Pope

John 21: 15-17
- Jesus, seeing Peter, asked him three times : "Simon, Son of John, do you love me more than these?" And three times Peter answered Him: "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told Him three times: "Feed my sheep."
  • My ‘sheep’ means all the disciples of Jesus,
  • Feed means look after them.
  • Peter is the first pastor - Pastor for all the Christians in the world. Pope means a loving father.
  • This appointment is from Jesus Himself.
What happens if one is not subject to those appointed by God?

Romans 13: 1-2
- Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; for there is no authority except from God; and more authorities that exist have been instituted by God; Therefore whoever resists authority resists what God has appointed and those who resist will incur judgement.
  • Since Jesus in saying "Feed my sheep" has given authority to Peter over all his sheep. All sheep belonging to Jesus should be obedient to this authority.
Samuel 15:22 - Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
  • Surely to obey is better than sacrifice; and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
Authority given to the Church by Jesus

Mathew 16: 19
- I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
  • Some misuse this authority given by Jesus. While others do not use it at all. But there are some who use this authority for the spread of the Church and God’s kingdom. Should we not be among these ones?
Jesus selected 12 disciples and gave them authority

Mathew 10:1
- Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to cast them out, and to cure every disease and every sickness.
  • One must be selected by God and remain obedient to the Church; There is no truth in self-declared church and leadership.
I’m going to totally disregard the book of Maccabees
that’s your personal authority ,you have no authority to do that. Finally Only The Catholic Church has the sole right to interpret the scriptures and to correct errors Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.

I don’t think you can actually say G-d based his word on the Catholic faith! If you believe the bible is based on Catholicism, then the bible is not the word of G-d!
Yes, the New Testament is based on the Catholic faith. The New Testament was written by Catholics for Catholics.
However, this is something Catholic theologians have extracted from the bible and what it says.
Right, it is based on Catholic understanding of scripture.

Much of it was actually written for Jews, though Jews rejected it. Catholics didn’t exist in the first century.

The Christian Bible was written for everyone, though most of the world does not adhere to it, e.g., Jews, Buddhists, Muslims, etc.

The topic is: Is praying to Mary in the bible?

No, it’s not in the bible, but it’s part of Catholic tradition to ask her to intercede.

As an observant Jew, that’s really all I have to say
is intercessory prayer in the Bible?

Right, it is based on Catholic understanding of scripture.
The Christian bible is not based on a Catholic understanding. That’s ludicrous. The Catholic religion developed out of Catholic theologians’ understanding of the Christian bible. The book came first. And not all of your theologians are in agreement.

Yes they did. The Catholic church is one and the same as the Church established by Christ in the first century. The name “Catholic” arose from Christianity’s universality.

saying there were no Catholics in the first century is the same as saying there were no Christians in the first century. So that statement is wrong. The first Christians were Catholics

The Christian New Testament was written for the faithful who were already believers. It was not written to evangelize non-believers.

the church came first… the book says so.
Yes, groups of Christians gathered, but no Catholic church existed as an hierarchical entity as it does today. Wherever the worshippers of Christ were, they were just called “Christians.” Some Eastern Orthodox Catholics claim they were first.

Actually - no they weren’t called Christians at all. It was just called “The Church”.

The Catholic church today and the Church founded by Christ is one and the same.

yes, they most definitely did have a hierarchical entity, they knew who their bishop was and they knew who laid hands on their bishop with authority. Christians/Catholics it has the same meaning. Yes, the Catholics were in the East before being established in the West. They were still Catholics.

You are not seeing that the acorn and the oak tree are the same plant.

The New Testament’s “Acts of the Apostles” and “Epistle to the Galatians” record that the first Christian community centered on Jerusalem and that its leaders included Peter, James, the brother of “Jesus,” and John the Apostle. After his conversion, Paul the Apostle claimed the title of “Apostle to the Gentiles”.

That indicates that Messianic Jews, who are actually Christians, were first. But the various Catholic churches soon followed, and the liturgy changed. But who’s to say which sect of Catholicism came first? Paul was evangelizing in the Middle East.
