I was curious if as a Protestant Christian you listen to Catholic speakers like Scott Hahn, or Father Corapi, or Mother Angelica, or EWTN, or Catholic Answers Live or anything like that out of interest.

If so, who do you like??

I have listened to Scott Hahn, when I do I enjoy his “take”. I remember him from decades ago when he was evangelical…don’t remember when he converted, but I didn’t know he had 'till about 4 years ago when I started listening to Catholic Answers Live.

I enjoy a few Catholic speakers…haven’t cared much for Mother Angelica…when I lived in Tennessee about 25 years ago she was on TV quite a bit.

as a protestant I listened to Scott Hahn and read surprised by truth.
I was converted within three years.

there is much more to the story and you can read some of it in the thread “my #1reason for converting”

Listened a bit to Father Corapi he has sparkling eyes when he speaks, I like that.

There is also a quiet priest on the tv I like him usually on around 10 ish at night… Just him talking I think he sits on or at a desk. He has interesting points to say. Cant think of his name right now.

Father Benedict Groeschel? Pictures.

I’m Lutheran and I’m watching EWTN right now and do so frequently. The Journey Home, Daily Mass, Benediction (Sundays @ 6) and Life on the Rock are some of my favorites. Can’t wait for Christmas Eve Mass from Washington DC!!

I, too, am a Lutheran – and a pastor – and I listen to a number of Catholics. My favorite is Fr. Benedict Groeschel. I follow a number of programs on EWTN as well.

I also like to listen to Scott Hahn, although he hasn’t convinced me to follow him across the Tiber.

from time to time, I will listen to catholic, orthodox, or whatever speakers, if the topic is interresting, and not just polemics.

i listen to a ton of catholic speakers:
scott hahn
tim staples
peter kreeft
fr. corapi
and many more…

but my favorite is fulton sheen. that guy was great.

I watched EWTN for a while and listened to Pope John Paul II because he is/was Polish like me 👍, plus humble, generous and caring. Perhaps one of the greatest Popes, no?

Prayers and petitions,
Alexius:cool:

When I was a Protestant, I listened to Fr Corapi a lot. Then a beautiful man named Bishop Paul Dudley gave me a book by Jeff Cavins called “My Life On The Rock”. He lives near me and Bishop Paul was very important to both of us in our Faith journey.

Fulton Sheen (sp?) is one of my favorites too.

My dad thinks he’s kind of scary in his lecture videos…Does anyone agree?

I often have EWTN on in the background when I am home, working in the kitchen or doing household chores.

I have no “favorites” but find that listening while working to be peaceful (especially to mass).

I’ve read some of Scott Hahn’s books, and found them interesting - I’m sure I wouldn’t mind hearing him speak.

Definitely! do you also like Gregorian Chant? It is a beautiful music. The sound of the music is so peaceful.

Sounds like your’re more Catholic than a lot of us…

Hey bengal…what non-Catholic speakers do you think Catholics would most like?
