yes, it can be subjective. i can see certain passages though as it being okay to have different interpretations and that the Spirit could actually lead different people to different conclusions. there are others however that are so essential to the faith that we must all agree on. i believe that on the essentials, we all pretty much have it (one God, three persons, Jesus died for our sins, rose again, is coming back, wants us to tell the world, etc.) (of course there are fringe groups and then there are complete non-Christians). i would even say (and i know this is not the topic of this thread) that even the method of salvation (faith alone, grace alone, grace + faith, faith + works, grace + faith + works, whatever) is a non-essential in that we don’t have to understand HOW God is going to do it, but that He IS going to do it. if we trust Him and His promises, He will do what He says (ultimately a sola fide person and some one with a catholic understanding and belief will probably look pretty similar in how they conduct their lives).
She grates on me too. She seems too self-satisfied and even arrogant, something not becoming of a nun. I never watch or listen to her. Her wit is haughty. I turn her off before the debates. But I do enjoy Scott Hahn, Tim Staples, Steve and Stephanie Wood, Tim Arnold, etc. I listen to them as much as possible.
is stephanie his daughter? i know that steve wood has a daughter (a couple of them i think) that speaks because she went to Grove City College (scott hahn’s alma mater and 7 miles from where i used to live… i met her once but i can’t remember her name. i knew the guy she was dating. he converted to catholicism because of her).

And I am a Catholic who listens to the local LCMS classical music radio station. They have “Joy” with Ron Clemm on Sunday mornings, and “By the Way” every morning at 5:59 AM, by Dr. Paul DevantierI am a Protestant and I occassionally watch Fr. Corapi and EWTN and listen to Catholic radio. Especially when there is nothing else to watch or listen to. I find myself very interested in what Catholics believe and even though I differ with some Catholic beliefs, I find that I have a lot more in common with them than I thought before I listened and watched Catholic TV and listen to Catholic radio.
yes i did. it again goes back to the connection to Grove City college. my meeting with Scott also came out of mutual acquaintences, involvement with young life, and close proximity (steubenville is only an hour or so away from where i used to live).
