I think what RedBert is trying to point out
is that no one is RIGHT when it comes to Interpretations

then what use is an Infallible Book in the first place?

I might as well become an Atheist
Set yourself free, and become fully responsible for the first time. 🤷

Treat it like a gift from God, more precious than gold or silver.

Read it, study it, pray on it, question why, test all things in scripture, , grow with it , seek out tradition (small t). treat it like it was God talking to you!
and red… YES that is a form of Idolatory

There was an authority, chosen by God, over the old covenant.

Please share with us where your interpretation comes from and how do you know your interpretation is correct when someone else has a different interpretation? Use scriptures please.
I’m not going to veer off topic:

Moses died shortly after (during) his writings.

How did the infallible Church interpret the writings of Moses?

If no doubt that John on Patmos wrote down exactly what God wanted…Do you think John understood everthing?

When One answer is wrong that doesn’t mean that all the rest of the answer are wrong and that** Nothing is Right**.

The scriptures were kept in the Temple and synagogues. The priests read them to the people, and explained them causing them to understand. Christ explained scriptures and caused them to understand.

Now, are you going to avoid the request completely. Where do scriptures, according to you, tell us how to interpret scriptures and discern which is true when we are presented with different interpretations?

38000 thousand and still is growing

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_denominations

Note: This is not a complete list, but aims to provide a comprehensible overview of the diversity among denominations of Christianity. As there are reported to be approximately 38,000 Christian denominations,[1] many of which cannot be verified to be significant, only those denominations with Wikipedia articles will be listed in order to ensure that all entries on this list are notable and verifiable.

I’d like to see those verses please

where you have to treat a material book as if God was talking to you
psalm12:6
psalm 19:10

a material book? is that it?
are you telling that God’s Word does NOT speak to you through scripture?

Most of us posting on these boards live in a country where you can become a Minister by answering an ad from the back of a Rolling Stone magazine.

I thank God for the freedom I have in my country.
But, like any freedom or liberty, it can be abused.
The 30,000 has less to do with the Protestant Reformation and more to do with the freedoms (and tax laws)in a country.

Or do you want the “State” to only give their religious “stamp of approval” to the selected few?

Do you think one guy declaring that his trailer is the Church of Harley- riding Eggplant- farmers of Vineland, New Jersey should really count as a denomination?

Yes It is useless to me Unless someone Interprets it to me and Unless that someone is blessed with Infallibility

for I might take God’s word in a wrong way

The SAME way the Jews had to do it :without the Catholic Church.

the freedom to make our own belief and to satisfy our needs which Contradicts Jesus’s teachings is wrong
you want freedom? When Truth is in-front of you, you have the freedom to accept or reject it, it is still Truth

so typical…it sad

"The Bible-reading habits of Catholics lag far behind those of Evangelical Protestants.

Of course, some Catholics read their Bibles, but they are sadly too few in number. It is not at bottom a “Protestant” thing to love the Bible, and the falsity of sola scriptura does not mean that Catholics ought to underemphasize Holy Scripture

But the “solution” of many Catholics—to not read the Bible at all so as to not be “confused” or “led astray”—is lamentable, “kindergarten Christianity” laziness.

**My guess is that many Catholics simply don’t want to do the work. They are content to let Mother Church spoon-feed them. (They want to remain “babes in Christ” who drink “milk,” as Paul says.)" **

The Catholic Church is Christ’s bride and Pillar of Truth
What more would I want?
I was not born to doubt God but to serve him, know him and love him.

Yet, I challenge you to read through this thread and see who uses scriptures to support their beliefs, and who offers unsubstantiated opinions, with attempts at ‘snappy’ comebacks that do not convey anything except the condescending tones…
