Protestants: how do you know that your interpretation of the Bible is the right one?

You are absolutely right - we shouldn’t be using lies to prove truth. Why, then do Protestants do this?
Truth DOES stand on it’s own, but the relativist perverts it - “twists it to his own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:16)

David Barrett.
You admit he has told lies by counting every Roman church as a separate denomination, yet want to hold his lie out as proof against non-catholics.

This is what I call using a lie to convince others you are telling the truth.

What do you call it?

Ginger

Most protestants do NOT lie they just us private interpretation for the Bible and believ all the preacher tells them. If you locked 4 of them in a room with a Bible and told them to read they will come out with 5 diff.interpretations====just my opinion,LOL
This is obviously false, as Catholics have often complained that I am posing as many different Protestants because we sound identical.

How can we sound like “clones” if we our interpretations differ so much as you say?

Ginger

Gabriel of 12;

I dont know Hisalone; All I know is that Jesus built ONe Church according to the bible. If there are more than one church, then there exists one two many? never mind the 33,000.
This 33,000 figure gets thrown around like it is carved in stone.
To continually use this figure is to distort what truly is.
You lose credibility when you use this figure and it is not accurate.

Oh, Hisalone - which part of the following do you not understand?

John 16:13-15
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.

The fact that you find so difficult to swallow is that the Catholic Church - the only Church established by Jesus - is the custodian of his truth. This is why St. Paul refers to the Church as "t**he pillar and foundation of Truth” (I Timothy 3:15).
This is why Jesus identifies his very self with it:

Acts 9:4-5:
He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"
He said, “Who are you, sir?” The reply came, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting."
Elvis if you want to take credit for the work of God then that is your decision. I have much too much fear (awe) to do that.
Certainly Jesus never taught us to take credit for the work of God, yet you falsely claim that you follow Jesus fully. Jesus never prayed to the dead nor had statues in His house nor at anytime put the focus on His mother. Your claims are false.

Number of U.S. Denominations

Catholic 1
Orthodox 60
Protestant 6,161
Code:
**Your Total "Christian Denominations" Count for today is 40544
Please pray for Christian unity (John 17; Eph 4:5; Matt 16:18) **
so the Catholic Church is a denomination. I guess those that claim otherwise are in error.

As I already indicated, His true follwers are those in his Church who have chosen to accept everything he taught and left are doing his will.
This doesn’t mean that Protestants aren’t Christians. They are Christians in a partial sense of the word because they reject certain truths taught by Jesus - cafeteria-style, if you will.

Jesus’ Church is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim. 3:15) where the fullness of His truth is found (John 16:13-15).
But Elvis you cannot bind me outside of Jesus’ church neither you nor any member in your denomination can.

Show me where Jesus taught a celibate priesthood.
Show me where Jesus taught the Sabboth is on sunday.
Show me where Jesus taught not to celibrate Passover.
Show me where Jesus taught to pray to His mother.
I could go on and on but I wont. You get my point or at least you should.

Nope.
It’s like having ALL of your food in front of you but only choosing the dessert - the things you like - and tossing the rest in the garbage.
NOPE its like have all kinds of things to eat in front of you and refusing to eat those things that are harmfull.

Actually, Ginger - suppose there are only 5,000 Protestant denominations worldwide, each proclaiming to be “the Truth”. That’s 5,000 “truths”.

Which one do you choose? Which one is actually the truth. They can’t all be - unless you are a relativist . . .
We know by the interpretation of 2 Peter 1:20-21 that yours is not true, otherwise you would know the right interpretation.

You error in thinking they adhere to different doctrines.

As I said somewhere earlier, I am frequently accused of posing as multiple Protestants because we all sound like clones.

Obviously we all share one truth that is the risen Christ!

7 Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon
son of Jonah. For flesh and blood * has not revealed this to

you, but my heavenly Father.
18 And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church, * and the gates of the netherworld
shall not prevail against it.
19 I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. *
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and
whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
You do read your Bible, right.Thank You and I will be waiting for your answer

Hisalone, I get that al ot from the Catholics, too. Whenever they don’t, or can’t, answer a question, they ask you one and then accuse you of being evasive.

???
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Maybe this should be addressed to somebody else.🤷

I’m not taking credit for anything - you’re just grasping at straws.
Jesus gave his Church full authority here on earth - not me and not you.👍

I don’t “falsely claim” anything - you falsely accuse because you don
**'t understand the Scriptures.**

Your point is ridiculous.
Show me where Jesus said “Trinity” or “Bible”.
Show me where Jesus taught that Paul was Timothy’s father (2 Tim. 1:2)
Show me ewhere Jesus taught Sola Scriptura.

Whereas Scripture does speak of the early Church gathering on Sunday instead of Saturday. It does speak of the great cloud of witnesses we have around us in heaven. It does speak of praying for each other and asking for prayer.
As for Passover - Jesus is the NEW paschal Lamb. We don’t celebrate the first Passover which spared the Hebrews from physical death and freed them from Egypt. We celebrate the fact that Jesus has freed us from the bonds of sin and spiritual death.

**There are many things not explicitly taught by Jesus that were taught by his Apostles. **This is why Sola Scriptura doesn’t work. Scripture explicitly says that he said and did things that weren’t written down (John 21:25).

We know by the interpretation of 2 Peter 1:20-21 that yours is not true, otherwise you would know the right interpretation.
Sorry, my anti-Catholic friend.
**You don’t have Jesus’ guarantee from John 16:13-15. Only the Catholic Church does **
