And where does it say: Bishop of Antioch? Bishop of Ephesus? Where does it say about owning a canonized Bible? Should I go on?

And where in the Bible does it state or teach it has to say everything explicitly?

Where in the bible does declare: a 27 NT canon?

Chapter and verse…please.
do any of those points mentioned corrupt or go against the word of God? Thats my question. I believe a supreme Pontiff DOES go against it. Just my view. The Word gives what we need for salvation and holiness. the things you describe are NOT unbiblical. We all know that. but a Vicar of christ? a supreme Pontiff? i dont see the basis for authority.

I said that the CC was wrong in its teaching on salvation. And i dont believe the church can “provide salvation”. I believe only god can do that. if those earlier christians had FAITH they were saved. Faith Alone.anything that distracts from that saving faith is a negative IMO.
READ the letter to JAMES 2:14-26

Here’s your “sola scriptura” it talks about faith and works!

If i go to a catholic church I’m saved. 1.5 billion people do that. I’m sorry but no church can provide salvation. jesus also said the Kingdom of heaven is within you. To me the idea of a supreme pontiff or head bishop is unbiblical. Peter didnt “outrank” John, matthew or even Paul.
I was once told that the path to Hell is paved by the teachings of the corrupt (priests, lay people, false prophets, etc)

Ok, I’ll play. where did the bible declare that the Bishop of Rome is supreme? The word of god has been and will always be infallible. for centuries it was Oral and written. Now we have it in written form everywhere. the bible trumps rome. thats what it comes down to here.
As Christians, we all believe in parallels of the Bible; right??? Well, here goes connections with the Old Testament.

Abraham and Moses both intercede for the people because the people of the Tribes die when they see the face of God.

In Numbers Ch. 16:25-32, it talks about Korah rebelling against Moses saying “You have gone too far! All the members of the community belong to the Lord, and the Lord is with all of us. Why, then, Moses, do you set yourself above all of the Lord’s community?”

God responds in Numbers 17:1-2, 8, when the people argue about Aaron and Moses’ authority (they are brothers, one is a priest(Aaron))… The Lord tells Moses to gather 12 walking sticks, one from each tribe, write the name of the tribe on it, except write Aaron’s on Levi’s (Aaron became the chief priest of the Levites who are the priests of the Lord). They were then to stick it in front of God’s in the Tabernacle and leave them over night with no one entering the Tent. When Moses came back to the Tent, the walking stick of the Tribe of Levi had sprouted and produced almonds!! The others remained barren!

Another one:

In Genesis 41 Joseph, the youngest of the 12 sons that was sold to Egypt, has to interpret the dreams of Pharoh, which he does very well i must say.

In Genesis 41:33-36, Joseph tells Pharoh that he will need to choose a man with wisdom and insight to put in charge of the country (parallel Church).

In Genesis 41:37-41, Pharoh says these exact words, "38: and he said, ‘We will never find a better man than Joseph, a man who has God’s spirit in him.’ The king said to Joseph,'God has shown you all this,so it is obvious that you have greater wisdom and insight than anyone else. I will put you in charge of my country (parallel, Pope heading the Church!!!) and all my people will obey your orders. Your authority will be second only to mine. I now appoint you govenor of all Egypt. (parallel, Peter and popes recieve authority and all will listen to them but Jesus is the higher in command)

So, as you see here, the Old testament, which came before the Church which came before the New Testament, was indeed insighting what Jesus was going to do!!

Jesus=King like Pharoh
Peter=Governer, 2nd authority, like Joseph.

I’ve got more proof if you need more 😃

No offense, but all you have done is side-step around every challenge I present. Nice double standard by the way. You have no qualms with the Bible making NO mention of the 27 NT canon, but it is unbiblical to have authority within Christ Church? Where does the Bible mention any mere man starting his own church based on the Bible-Alone?

You merely cherry pick what suits your agendas.

My agenda is to state that Faith in you heart saves you. not the Catholic Church. does recording what Jesus Taught in written form break what was taught orally as Gods word? Does creating a huge church body with one supreme leader go against gods word? this isn’t about unity. Catholics are united in name only. we cannot unite, humans like freedom, we like to question, we have free will…This is why a theocracy is purely anti-christian. the goal isn’t to make people christian in name only. I think thats what happens when you’re more concerned about your church being the “true” church etc. Faith Alone.

so all i have to do is join the CC and I’m good? did the apostles report back to peter for instructions? i see no reason to put peter at a higher level than john or the others. Paul seemed more influencial in the first century. very informative conversation though.

You have no clue as to how one comes to have faith. You say it is like so:

[BIBLEDRB]Romans 10:9[/BIBLEDRB]
But you leave out this part:
[BIBLEDRB]Romans 2:6-8[/BIBLEDRB]

In Romans 10:9 Paul is talking about faith as opposed to the works of the Mosaic Law. He is not saying that you can say the Sinner’s Prayer once in your life and then go to heaven. Or to use Luther’s terminology, he is not saying that you are a dung heap and that by having “faith alone” you get covered in snow so Jesus will overlook the dung within when His judgment comes. Jesus did not create you to be a dung heap. He created you to be His child and He wants to remake you in to what you are supposed to be. That is what Paul is talking about. You must cooperate with His grace if you want to go to heaven.

is that a community of believers? i dont see a good comparison. how is the CC the “true” church? seems like the Orthodox can say the same thing. Faith Alone.

You keep telling us to get faith. How about getting it from the person to whom Jesus said:

[BIBLEDRB]Luke 22:31-32[/BIBLEDRB]

Jesus did not say that in vain. Peter is there to confirm your faith.

SO you want to quote Luther now? do you think you can work to get your sins forgiven?

so why wasn’t Rome supreme for the first 1000 years?

Do you realize that “confess[ing] with thy mouth the Lord Jesus” is a work?
By gods grace you are saved. You recieve salvation. you said earlier that the Catholic Church Provides salvation. If thats the case then every catholic is saved. Thats a lot of people in heaven.

you are implying that the reformers were corrupt false prophets? Thats fine, but i could say that the CC has its own questionable teachings, practices, apparitions that could seen as false as well. Protestants dont claim, or shouldn’t claim to have all of the keys or to be the “true church”. I’m lutheran because i agree with Luthers theology. I would not say that my church is the “true” church.
