Your message is very encouraging, thanks !!!
and thank you especially for not trying to “press” Catholicism on me … 👋
You are very welcome. My role in spreading the faith is in sales: I can show you the advantages and answer questions. Someone else closes the deal in the end. 👍

thanks again, if I have specific questions I’ll “look for” you …👍

the problem is that according to independent doctors and scientists … she WAS embalmed …
Well, you can believe what you like from these so-called “scientists” and “doctors”, because variuos arguements will be presented by the skeptics in an attempt to rationalize these preservations. The most frequently forwarded will be that of radioactivity. In the cases where this unseen condition was extended as a cause of preservation, many preserved bodies were found in each such place.
With regard to the incorruptibles, only single cases were recorded, and in most instances, the tombs involved had been used previously with normal and expected results. It would seem unlikely for one grave to contain this cosmic element while others immediately remain unaffected.
the most skeptics will argue that such conservations are nothing more than hoaxes perpatrated by the votaries at the shrines or by the religious orders.
When one considers that the members of the religious orders have always striven by a devotion to prayer and the performance of pennances for a greater degree of perfection and have withdrawn themselves from the pleasures and comforts of the world to advance in the way of virtue, it would constitute an outrageous discourtesy to accuse them of participating in a deception of any nature.
Furthermore, the relics PERIODICALLY UNDERGO SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL EXAMINATION, and many are exposed in public shrines and churches for the admiration and examination of visitors.

Now, Mr. Huguenot, where is your proof that this particular saint was embalmed? You don’t have a leg to stand on here.

Furthermore, Mr. Huguenot,
Catholics are priviledged, indeed, not only to have these unique relics but also to be able to look upon the faces of these religious who fought a good fight, who finished the course of life in a most edifying manner, and who kept and practiced the Faith to an heroic degree.

It’s Miss Huguenot but in English you can’t make the difference ( in French I would have written Huguenote, the feminine form ) ; I 've read several reports on that issue but they are in French, it would be difficult for me to translate them …
Moreover, as you perhaps know it, Protestants don’t give relics ( true ones or fake ones ) any importance in their faith, so for me it is not a real problem …We don’t “venerate” relics of any kind— I don’t keep a hair of Calvin’s beard at home :rotfl:
I just mentioned it because not everybody agrees that these cases are “miracles” …

Well in fact we can also have a look at them, since anybody can enter a Catholic church, even Protestants …
and I’ve seen some of these relics, only I don’t feel more “privileged” afterwards …😃

Why would you keep a hair of Calvin? He certainly did not lead a saintly life. Like I said, the only skeptics here are non-Catholics. and I don’t expect you to believe this as one.

True that Calvin didn’t live a saintly life (who did in fact, apart from Jesus ? ), but it is also the case of some of the people who have been canonized by the Catholic Church, especially some French Kings …( who had mistresses for instance … )
I was just joking …

You don’t feel priviledged afterwards because you don’t understand it, and what one doesn’t understand, you cannot see the holiness in these saints.
A relic that I had prayed over had changed my life forever. If I hadn’t done so, I wouldn’t of come to know Jesus christ and it taught me to study church history as well.

Well I don’t need a relic to get closer to Christ … if one helped you get closer to Christ, I’m happy for you …

Who were these “French Kings”? I think now you are just throwing anything into this one…🤷

Louis IX … I think … I’d have to check on the “number” since we’ve had quite a number of Kings called “Louis” … he also organised one of the crusades, for me it is incompatible with Christian faith :
we must preach the gospel to everybody, not kill people who believe otherwise …

I don’t feel like it at all, sorry !
I think if non-Catholics actually read about the lives of the saints, and how there must be something to them because, not only are they found to be incorruptible, but there are thousands and thousands of saints that were martyred for the faith. To anyone, non-Catholic or not, you must know and see that there must be something good to this, and it has to be from Christ.
One cannot comment on these events if they had not researched it. You simply cannot use your own opinions, your own answers to something you know nothing about. That is why I, as a Catholic have a problem with Protestants. They will not or refuse to research what we (or I) show them. They just shrug things as whatever…🤷

As far as crusading goes, Louis brought AN END to the Albigensian Crusade in 1229.
Louis’s kindness and piety towards the poor was much celebrated.
He was a devout Catholic, in which he built the Sainte Chappelle (Holy Chapel). It was erected as a shrine for the crown of thorns and a fragment of the True Cross.
Pope Boniface Viii proclaimed the Canonization of Louis in 1297, he is ONE OF THE FEW royals in French history to have been declared a saint.
A lot of cities are named after him: St. Louis, Missouri, Saint Louis du senegal of Senegal, etc…
In other words, He was a good man. Good enough in the eyes of Jesus christ who called him into sainthood.
He use to wash the feet of the poor.

Joh 20:29 Jesus saith to him: Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen and have believed.
