Please go live without heat:doh2:

Not the question being asked here.

There is more than one factor necessary for life.
I understand that but you posed the question if we could go on in the infinite expanding universe, my answer is yes. I was showing you facts.

I don’t understand string theory, apparantly. However, you brought up water on Mars. You then say something along the lines of there being life on Mars because there is water. Am I reading you wrong here?

Don’t reach any sudden decisions. Go over each question one at a time.

Not going to challenge you in your state.

We’re praying for you.

Please go and live without water.
Please go and acquire a grasp of logic.

I said that water alone does not generate life. That doesn’t imply that life can go on without water. Wow.
Water produces life as we know it.
Patently false. H2O does not suddenly morph into life.

You are thinking to much into this to prove me wrong now. I said there was water on mars. I never said there was life, I said to have life you need water.

No, you specifically said that water produces life.

Do you know what evolution is? I’m guessing not. I have a fine sense of logic though, thanks for not noticing.

I don’t have an all revealing answer or anything, but when I lost everything (almost) I learned what was important to me and I learned to trust God in everything. Within 2 yrs I lost my dad and my child, then my ex left me with 3 children and no support, got laid off my job and was totally alienated from my family just before my ex left. Hmmm… I could have hated God for taking my child and my dad… I could have really resented God that I couldn’t even keep my marriage. I could have given up on life, save for 3 young children that were totally dependent on me… But instead I was fortunate and chose wisely to turn to the Church and to God. It wasn’t easy and I am still in debt 10 yrs later because of those events. Did I mention when my ex left he emptied the bank account too?..

I recognized that everything has a purpose and these events were no different. So what did I need to learn? I needed to learn to trust… Trust in God and in others.

It was humbling to have to apply for food stamps and medical. And right after I did… yep… I had to have surgery. I also found doors open to me and all I had to do was have the courage to step through. I was able to qualify for college tuition, books, fees, and gas money. I was able to get my kids into private schools on grants. Mysteriously, an anonymous person left a card and cash for groceries and Easter candy. In my entire life so far, I had been the one giving to others and never asking for anything in return.

God provided in so many ways… I made friends with very nice people, If I had a bill for $294, a $300 check would show up in the mail just in time. My kids used to laugh about how our needs were being met… because I would just say… I trust. And sure enough… God provided! It became a running joke in my house, how I had prayed for an answer to a daycare problem (I hated the daycare I had for the kids, but couldn’t afford to change it) a week later I was laid off… not the answer I would have chosen, but I was home for the kids when they needed me most…in fact, I had the best summer of our lives.

My previous employer didn’t pay my unemployment so I got unemployment based on a job where I made so much more money… in fact, I made more money on unemployment. By going into an unemployment program to go back to school, it automatically extended my unemployment another 6 months. On top of all that… my college screwed up my loan application and delayed it so bad that they decided to give me a $3000 scholarship.

I was able to arrange classes around my kids schedule so I didn’t have to pay for daycare… saved me $150 a week! Do you think these things just happened? Or that I deserved them? The only explanation was that I trusted and God provided. It wasn’t just money either… I found out my ex wasn’t free to marry me, because he was already married to another… made my annulment alot easier!!!

After a couple years of working in either high stress jobs or jobs that just didn’t meet my needs… I got a phone call out of the blue from a man I had tried to get to hire me for years… he wanted me to start right away… when he saw me looking at my watch, he asked if I needed to go somewhere. When I explained that I had to go pick up my bf because I was borrowing his car as mine was goners… he offered me a car, then, he asked for my cell #… I said I didn’t have one… he got me one.

Finally, my annulment went through and my bf proposed. I was able to pay my dd’s tuition and for my wedding…(boss paid me during honeymoon even though I worked there only 3 mos) just when things were looking up… I had another set back… my ex ran up doctors bills and I couldn’t be seen at the doctor unless I paid $5000 for his bills… so I asked boss for help. He didn’t answer… so I had no medical insurance, 2 days later I broke my leg…found out I was expecting, and couldn’t see a doctor! So I got insurance, the day it took affect I sadly miscarried. Without insurance, it would have cost over $10,000… my bill…$400.

Things aren’t peachy… but they are awesome… much better than I could have imagined. I have great kids… no trouble, love God… a fantastic husband who loves God… What did I do to deserve such blessings? Nothing! God had mercy on me and gave me some awesome gifts!!! The biggest gift was faith…

:doh2:

Who deons’t know what evolution is, what with it being shoved down all our throats?

You think evolution is water turning into life? Go look up what living things are composed of, and then come back.

Wow, our school systems must really suck. If they’re going to teach evolution, at least they should teach it correctly. Water produces life… give me a break.

It does? Please try and grow something without water, I never said it alone produced life.
The water sustains life, does not produce it. Put something dead in water and see if it comes to life.

When I clarified that water alone does not produce life, you asked me to try to live without water. That betrays a lack of logic, as I proved earlier.

Apparently you don’t know what evolution is, nor do you know the principles on which it works. You do know that evolution just happens kind of like the theory of god. Water does have a small spark of electricity in it, I mean if you can believe in “god” who is to say that this is impossible.

Hi Spacer,

Welcome to the forum; sorry it is under these circumstances. I don’t think the following will help you right now, because it usually doesn’t help me either when I am under duress. When the duress subsides, it becomes an awesome mystery.

-God is good.
-The world is not God.
-Suffering happens, even when you don’t deserve it.
-God sometimes prevents you from suffering, and sometimes He doesn’t.
-Sometimes the fruits of suffering don’t become recognized until years, or even decades, have passed.
-If you had the choice to be pinned to a couple of railroad ties with 12" spikes through your hands and feet, you would probably prefer the agony that you are currently in.
-A very real person made the other choice, and had nothing to gain personally from it.

No consolation, I would bet. But I will pray tonight for you.

-Tim

You’re ignorant. The scientific theory of the beginning of life has to do with “primordial soup” which is not water but rather amino acids in water. Thus it is not “electricity” in water becoming life, nor is it water itself becoming life.

You don’t know what evolution is, you don’t understand its principles, and you certainly are doing a fine job embarrassing yourself.

This is a waste of time, as you do not actually want answers but you simply want to argue. Good day to you.

Oh, it just occurred to me that I have obliged your request in the title of your thread. I hope that this is satisfying for you.

Right, you’ve also successfully taken off topic of what my original post was about. You’ve also just been saying the same thing over and over again about water. I said, “Water produces life.” I’ve also said, “If you believe in god who is to say water can’t produce life.” Which in the same context you’ve tried to make me look like an idiot when you’ve done nothing to me but just talk about the basics of evolution.

I haven’t really tried to do anything, it’s all you. Really, I don’t even want to take credit for this one.

And you’re welcome, I hope now you have some grasp of what evolution is. At least, you now know that it isn’t a “spark” in the water. Which is an improvement, however small.

The structure of an H2O molecule is such that it has two poles, one with a slight positive charge, and the other with a slight negative charge. It is this that causes water to be liquid at room temperature whereas ammonia, a similar molecule structurally, is a gas.

Evolution is a hypothesis based on the principles of natural selection, which can be summarized in the statement, “survival of the fittest.” The “fittest” is often determined by a random, beneficial mutation or a beneficial combination of genetic material recieved from parents.
