Hi guys… I have a question
I get a problem when trying to prove to my friends who are protestants that the virgin Mary is really in heaven though i know she is. Can you help me to make them understand that this woman is no ordinary???

Revelation 12 would be the best attempt imo, but I doubt that would be proof to someone who doesn’t want to hear it.

I know a lot of Protestants probably don’t like the Catholic views on Mary, but I can’t imagine most Protestants wouldn’t think Mary is in heaven. That seems like a very bizarre point of view to me.

I’ve never met a Protestant who doesn’t believe Mary is a saint.
They don’t honor her the way we do, but they all believe she’s a saint.

That’s an impossible question.

You cannot prove questions of faith empirically.

You can provide arguments to make that faith more reasonable, but it still boils down to faith.

I have…

I’ve seen Protestants who basically make the claim that Mary was Gods little harlot and nothing but a vessel used by him then discarded how we would use a paper plate then throw it in the rubbish bin.

These are usually the types who also claim Catholics and Orthodox and even other Protestants are not really Christians, and that Jesus unmercifully throws Hindu children into the lake of fire along with everyone else who never pledged allegiance to his Lordship. They actually have a LOT in common with Islamic extremists like ISIS - at least on an ideological-theological level, not usually on a practical level (meaning they believe most people will burn for eternity like ISIS, but they don’t throw homosexuals off tall buildings).

They worship a bizarre evil Jesus - I do not recognize this abominable “Jesus”, but here in the US quite a few “christians” claim to believe in this “Jesus”.

I would simply say ‘Prove your ancestors are in Heaven’…

It’s kinda hard to call someone who is in the other place “blessed” for all generations…

That’s horrible!
Why would anybody want to follow a God who would discard his own mother?

Turn it around. They are the ones making the accusation. Ask them to prove there is a heaven. They have to use (and trust) the bible, which came from the Catholic Church.

Give it one try, then drop it and simply pray for them. No human argument on earth will convince them. That is the job of the Holy Spirit.

Not sure - why would anyone want to follow an evil Jesus who casts innocent children into hell for eternity because they never heard the Gospel?

Literally millions of our fellow Americans do worship this heinous idol. It’s the reason why Richard Dawkins was able to write his atheist manifestos - this false image of a capricious and petty tyrannical “god”.

Revelation 12:1-2 Genesis 3:15 says after the fall Mary will crush Satan through the birth of her son Jesus. But it is not credited to her always goes back to the son. Catholic’s don’t worship Mary but like it or not she is Mother of the Son God and deserves some praise for her sacrifice her son wouldn’t have it any other way.
,And they shall call me blessed Luke 1:48

An American Protestant “christian” fundamentalist/evangelical who claimed to have visited hell and wrote a book about how almost everyone alive is hellbound.

If what she wrote was true, of the worlds 7,500,000,000 current human beings, about 7,490,000,000 would go straight to hell at the moment of their death.

She believes God created the vast vast majority of humanity to destroy and damn it.

Don’t ask me how she reconciles that with things like “God is Love”, and “I did not come into the world to condemn it but to save it”.

Oh.
Well, I guess you would have to talk to a person and find out why they believed the things they do…

Mary Baxter is a false prophet! If she is not recognize by the Catholic Church then Catholic’s shouldn’t believe this. They had a movie came out a while back about a boy that went to heaven a book was written came out later the dad made it up. Can’t believe everything you hear.

To add to what others have said

"The Woman in Revelation 12 is part of the fusion imagery/polyvalent symbolism that is found in the book. She has four referents: Israel, the Church, Eve, and Mary.

She is Israel because she is associated with the sun, the moon, and twelve stars. These symbols are drawn from Genesis 37:9–11, in which the patriarch Joseph has a dream of the sun and moon (symbolizing his father and mother) and stars (representing his brothers), which bow down to him. Taken together, the sun, moon, and twelve stars symbolize the people of Israel.

The Woman is the Church because, as 12:17 tells us, “the rest of her offspring” are those who bear witness to Jesus, making them Christians.

The Woman is Eve because she is part of the three-way conflict also involving her Seed and the Dragon, who is identified with the ancient serpent (the one from Eden) in 20:2. This mirrors the conflict in Genesis 3:15 between Eve, the serpent, and her unborn seed—which in turn is a symbol of the conflict between Mary, Satan, and Jesus.

Finally, the Woman is Mary because she is the mother of Jesus, the child who will rule the nations with a rod of iron (19:11–16)."

Mary is in heaven 😃

Why don’t they just call her and ask her themselves?😉 oh wait, they don’t trust her. Pray to Jesus for an answer regarding her? Do they believe in prayer…?
Or do they only believe in themselves…?
