You have already stood up and made your poinjt; further, you took it to the department Chair and at least attempted to take it to the president of the University.
You have made your point and done what you can. For all those who insist you should get up and fight, what more can you do? Practically, that is?
There is wisdom in picking your battles. You are student, along with other students; there; you probably have more impact by talking with other students than you do trying to pick a fight with this prof.
Grades can matter, particularly later on. You do not have a moral duty to fight with this person until he yells uncle; in fact, you do not have an ability to fight with him. He is a professor, and if the Chair is not going to do anything, there is nothing further you can do. There is essentially nothing you can do, except waste time and make a spectacle of yourself by persuing it further. Get on with the class.
