They obviously didn’t know, that they had given Jesus a cup of water. That’s why they said “when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?”PNEUMA;14524364:
“Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me”No, you don’t have to be a Christian at all, to inherit the kingdom
Matthew 25:34
Matthew 10:40 "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward"Hi!
…you truly have a liberal understanding of things, don’t you?
How can one receive a disciple of Christ if not by being in Fellowship with Christ?.. or do you take it to mean that by giving a Christian a glass of water out of respect for the temporal need of that person, the host is granted Salvation?
Look into the context: “because he is My disciple,” “because I was… and you did it for Me.”
