PNEUMA;14524364:
No, you don’t have to be a Christian at all, to inherit the kingdom

Matthew 25:34
“Then the King will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me”

Matthew 10:40 "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward"Hi!

…you truly have a liberal understanding of things, don’t you?

How can one receive a disciple of Christ if not by being in Fellowship with Christ?.. or do you take it to mean that by giving a Christian a glass of water out of respect for the temporal need of that person, the host is granted Salvation?

Look into the context: “because he is My disciple,” “because I was… and you did it for Me.”

They obviously didn’t know, that they had given Jesus a cup of water. That’s why they said “when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?”

At the time, Paul did not believe the first resurrection had taken place. But understood it later.

2 Timothy 2: 16 "Avoid profane chatter, for it will lead people into more and more impiety, and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have swerved from the truth by claiming that the resurrection has already taken place.

1 Corinthians 5:10 “Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! Quite apart from us you have become kings! Indeed, I wish that you had become kings, so that we might be kings with you!”
What does the verse say, PNEUMA?

What does 2 Corinthians 5:10 say?

Heaven and earth are metaphors for the spiritual, immaterial world and physical, material world. The new Jerusalem is a metaphor for the community of Saints. It’s not a new planet with a great new city.
But we will have our resurrected bodies.

What does the verse say, PNEUMA?

What does 2 Corinthians 5:10 say?
You simply don’t get it James248 ?

The judgment of the world has already occurred. Christ reign has begun, we are in the thousand years right now, the first resurrection has taken place. It’s only the word (the reality) that hasn’t reached out to everyone and judged everyone.

BTW you were like everyone else found guilty and there is only one way out of death.

John 12:31 “Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out”

John 12:48 “He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day”

Even Paul got it, by the time he wrote to the Ephesians

Ephesians 2:6 “by grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

Catechism 2796 "When the Church prays “our Father who art in heaven,” she is professing that we are the People of God, already seated “with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

Revelation 3:21 “He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.”

It is not metaphorical. We will have new bodies; we will need someplace to walk our new bare feet around. :):)🙂

As to procreation, Our LORD himself said that would not occur in the next life. The everlasting body (“spiritual body”, pneumatikon soma) holds not biological life, which must be reproduced, but endless life.

ICXC NIKA!
But when it come?
I mean that new earth and endless happy life, oh when will it come on earth.

PNEUMA;14524297:
Not the conquerors
But Pneuma Jesus doesn’t specify the conquers will not be judged. Jesus says the people of every nation, meaning all…

Matthew 25:31*“When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all his angels are with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32The people of every nation will be gathered in front of him. 33 He will separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right but the goats on his left.
God’s people sit on the throne with Christ, they are not in front of it.

Revelation 3:21 “He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.”

Catechism 2796 "When the Church prays “our Father who art in heaven,” she is professing that we are the People of God, already seated “with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

10 For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may receive recompense for what has been done in the body, whether good or evil.

Hi!

…you are still missing the point: Jesus is comparing those who claimed to be Christians yet failed to Live His Command (if you love Me you will obey my Commandments) to those who obeying His Commandment give of themselves generously when Christians and the world at large were in need… the Object Remains: Christ.

…those who are generous/just/merciful with Christians because they are Christians, their generosity/justice/mercy shall be Credited to them By Christ!

Nowhere in Scriptures does it imply that being generous or showing justice/mercy wantonly (without purpose in Yahweh God) will gain anyone eternal Salvation…

Consider Hilary’s and Obama’s generosity… they campaigned (and still are) for worldwide women’s health… as long as this meant killing babies in their moms’ wombs or preventing conception or providing human sterilization or the killing of children that survive abortions… their generosity knows no bounds… well, except supporting women to carry their pregnancy to full term and supporting both mom and child after the birthing… so, do you think they racked up gold/diamond/platinum credits in the Heavenly storage?

Their generosity/justice/mercy is devoid of God–they get ZERO credit!

Catechism 2796 "When the Church prays “our Father who art in heaven,” she is professing that we are the People of God, already seated “with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”
Lets go on with that…CCC 2796 When the Church prays “our Father who art in heaven,” she is professing that we are the People of God, already seated “with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” and "hidden with Christ in God;"60 yet at the same time, "here indeed we groan, and long to put on our heavenly dwelling."61

[Christians] are in the flesh, but do not live according to the flesh. They spend their lives on earth, but are citizens of heaven.62

Okay written in scripture St. Paul tells us that heaven is our home and that this life is just temporary. So we are citizens of heaven though we live on earth. He refers this life to a tent although when we receive Jesus in the Eucharist, Jesus is in heaven sitting on Gods heavenly throne surrounded by Saints already there and the angels but we also on earth surround Jesus… Just look at the Precious Body and Blood of Jesus and all those who surround Him…We are a mirror image of heaven during the Mass.

But we are still in this life, so can’t be entirely in heaven because we are in flesh… But one day in the next life, we have hope to be sitting next to Jesus and see Him face to face as the glorified Jesus because we too will be glorified. ‘’
God’s people sit on the throne with Christ, they are not in front of it.

Revelation 3:21 “He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.”
Rev 3:19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
21To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Those scriptures also refers to the Holy Eucharist. When we hear His voice in the scriptures and open the door to our heart Jesus will come and dine with us… (as has happened since the Last Supper…)

Pneuma heres the thing, the Book of Revelation often misinterpreted is really mostly about the Mass and the Parousia. That’s why there’s references to the Churches and Whomever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches…

Now there will be two judgments, the particular judgment (individual) after we die, and the general judgment on the last day where all will be judged. It will happen in a wink of an eye and we will all be transformed into one glorified body of Christ. Those who are in heaven already and those living on earth at that time will join and meet Jesus in the air…

Well I could go on but if you won’t listen to what the Spirit says to the Churches you wont listen to me… 🤷

Peace out…🙂

Pneuma, how can a person ‘expect’ to be part of the Kingdom of God if they don’t follow the King??

In the instance you presented above Jesus is talking to His followers who were the first Christian disciples. He’s not speaking to everyone, Jesus is speaking to the disciples. And Jesus didn’t say a person doesn’t have to be a Christian to Inherit the Kingdom. Rather Jesus tells us repeatedly to Follow Him…

Here Jesus also says we must eat the Flesh and blood of Himself to be raised on the Last day.

John 6: 53Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day

It’s you that missing the point. They indirectly did something good to Jesus, that’s why they inherit the kingdom.

This has nothing to do with citizenship. You are what you eat. When you eat Jesus Christ you become Jesus Christ on the throne in heaven (resurrected and seated with Christ)

Ephesians 2:6 “by grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

Well 1 Joh 4,1 says “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God”

Revelation was written in and about the Roman province of Asia

Revelation 1:4 “John to the seven churches that are in Asia”

Hi!

…again, your analysis is quite focused… but on the wrong issue: the Object is Jesus Christ.

Those who claimed Jesus yet did not apply Jesus to their lives missed the boat!

Those who applied Jesus to their lives did so without thinking of getting on Jesus’ “good side:”
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord,
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord,
(St. Matthew 25:37a, 44a)
Do you see it?

Who would call Jesus Lord if not one who is in Fellowship (Subordinate) with Jesus?

Do you truly believe that an anti-Christ person would submit to Christ or would serve a Christian because he/she is a Christian?

…there’s an old movie that vividly depicts what animosity truly means (War of the Roses)… the culminating point is depicted in the scene where the wife’s dying breath is spent pushing away the husband’s hand… enmity is continued even as death looms in.

Unless a person rejects his/her anti-Christ convictions, he/she will never engage in an act for the sake of God or those who are in His Fellowship.

The Reward Jesus is offering is to those who actively engage the world because of Him.

The books of Bible are not just history. They are for instruction and the edification of our souls.
John 5:39 “You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life”

John 5:39 “the Father who sent me has himself borne witness to me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen”

John 6:63 “the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life”

John 15:7 “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you”

Matthew 17:20 “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from hence to yonder place,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”

John 12:47"If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority; the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life.

As you are closing the door to paradise for others, don’t shut yourself out.

Luke 23:39 "One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingly power.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ.

Hi!

…my friend, you’ve just agreed with me… it’s about the Object: Jesus!

…while crucified amongst criminals (to fulfill Scriptures) Jesus is both rejected and claimed by these two men; the first, blatantly rejects Jesus–he even joins the crowd (wide and broad the path that leads to damnation) as he mocks Jesus, and, as Satan, attempts to coerce Him to act contrary to the Divine Plan; the latter, on the other hand, repents from his unrighteousness, Confesses Jesus as Just, becomes Jesus’ first apologist, recognizes Jesus as his Lord, and pleads for Mercy and Salvation…

…the Object: Jesus!

…as for closing Salvation… not even the Church has the Authority to Judge oven man’s Salvation.

Yet, by preaching and all inclusive salvation I would be held accountable for those who while rejecting God would fall into the fallacy that by being a “good” person they can bypass the Way, the Resurrection and the Life!

My job (as it should be the job for all Christians) is not to create a kingdom of complacency where the Word of God is rendered inert and man can actively choose to reject God while forcing His Mercy and Love to Grant them Access to Heaven through “acts” of kindness and “goodwill:”
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
(St. Matthew 5:13-16)
…and Jesus warns against misleading others:
6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!
(St. Matthew 18:6-7)
It is God Who will Judge man’s heart and Faith!
